First of all let me start by saying it's probably not on my end, I don't have the best internet but I get pretty good speeds, and I play other games just fine. I am either experiencing terrible lag, or the hit detection is way off, all this started in the beta, I took all in stride, thinking well it's only a beta and this is the exact reason for the beta, to stress test their servers and iron out the kinks. But no, I am actually experiencing worse lag than with the beta, poor hit detection, it takes at least 5 headshots to kill anyone with the Scout rifles, the pulse rifles and hand cannons are all but useless for me, and the only usable weapon is the auto rifle, and I use over half a magazine to kill one person. Bungie what's going on? The crucible is all but unplayable. Is any body else experiencing this, or is it just me?
-
The lag is real. I got killed by a guy, only for me to kill him around 20 seconds later. The tickrate is the source of the problem.
-
Main problem I have is that about 2-4 Times a match I will melee someone and they die but somehow they also melee me a second later killing me also o.O.
-
I used a vehicle that took me a couple mins to kill the dude because he was just jumping around I was hitting him but his health wasn't dropping it even regenerated and we wind up killing each other and all he has was his primary. I feel like the lag in this game makes the unbalancing even worse.
-
My lag-highscore in the crucible currently is at around 30 seconds. I knifed a guy three times, got one shot killed by him, respawned, then ran around for half a minute as I suddenly got my points for killing him. I think some of the asian players in this game get their internet via bamboo cables (or the game's netcode is bad, can't tell).
-
I have 2 ps3s and when I play the one in the living room on WiFi I have lag issues but when I'm wired I haven't had any issues
-
Same situation. I'm pretty sure the skillcannons are the best pvp weapons in the game but you can't use them due to the hit detection/lag. Add to the already questionable hit detection those blink jumps and those guys are unkillable unless you snipe them as they come out of the jump. It's why the autorifle is the default gun for everyone, you can miss 5-6 shots and still secure the kill, miss one or two hand cannon or scout rifle shots and you're out. When the lag has calmed down I'm loving it, but when I see "contacting destiny servers" flash at the bottom of the screen I know I'm in for a gruesome display.
-
The odd one is laggy but most run smoothly on XBox one.
-
Happens rarely but I end up killing the person and go to the next, but I saw the same person sitting on one spot looking at me not doing anything. And then I got killed when he was sitting down doing nothing. It's like I got attacked by Psycho Mantis (yes I am a fan of MGS series) xD But most of the time I get randomly kicked for incompatibility to join and then suddenly get kicked from the modem and forced to reset it even though I reset it half hour ago. XD
-
Some parts of crucible are find and some are not. The ones that are good are any thing with a max player count of 6. Those run amazing. But anything around the 12 player range everything just goes nuts. Usually ending up with me getting kicked from the server and having to start the game back up.

Edited by McDsSpriteBussin: 9/18/2014 1:53:56 AMAnyone reply if you're experiencing melee lag also, I'll hit the enemy first when their shields are down and get a shotty to the face and then 2 seconds later they die, and I get a postmortem medal. It's ridiculous not sure if its just me but I highly doubt it because my friend and I did a rumble match and both of us experienced that when we melee each other this is something Bungie really needs to fix dammit as if the Crucible wasn't broken enough with people camping together using fusion rifles with a ridiculous charge rate or in corners with a shotty or blinking around like bitches running because they're not close enough to use it.
-
Move your router closer like I did. Instant fix.

Edited by xMr Poor: 9/18/2014 1:46:56 AMIt's the hit detection, not your run of the mill nework lag. There is no reason you should be dying around corners and trading kills so often. It was present in the beta too but they did nothing about it.
-
It's almost as if the latest patch has made it even worse, now auto rifles are killing me as quickly as heavy weapons, and I'm unloading heavy machine guns on people, who turn around and kill me with primary weapons. WTF Bungie?
-
I'm having the exact same issue. My connection is fine other games work fine destiny crucible nope, all my friends have no issues ill be playing a game with them they are fine but my hot detection is almost 3 seconds off and people rubber banding sometimes as well.
-
I get hit detection problems along with a couple of friends. More than sure it isn't on our end. Melee's take about 1-2 seconds to register. I've litereally seen people take a hit, kill me, then walk around for a couple of seconds then dying due to being melee'd. Makes the crucible matches feel like crap.
-
I had a few games were i was not getting any hitmakers at all on some players. There is sometimes were I get a melee kill after I die.

-
Only had one bad instance. First match ironically. My bullets did no damage tell the last 2 minutes and my friends laughed the whole time
-
Edited by Machetegun: 9/15/2014 2:07:28 AMYep, I don't have the best internet around, but it runs BF4 and CoD well enough. Some matches, I'll notice almost no hit detection lag, and it'll be an enjoyable experience (Even if I lose!) and some matches it takes a good 2-5 seconds for the mele/shotgun/auto rifle damage to take effect. Often I shoot someone with my auto rifle, mele them, then jump and run away for safety while I wait for the server to catch up and kill the guy.
-
Worse yet they make out like it's your fault their game doesn't work. 2-5 second delay sometimes. You can be killed and then watch the guy you were shooting slowly lose all health fall down and die like you were still shooting him.
-
Yes lagging really bad on my end.
-
The lag is real. It is definitely not just you, the hit detection lag for me averages at about 2 seconds. I have unloaded entire clips into players without them losing any health, until they kill me and then their health bar drops and I get a kill, as if by magic. Which, in my opinion, is annoying for both people.
-
Yeah, the lag is really bad. Almost every kill get the person also killed me at the same time. I shouldn't shoot a person facing kill them and then there punch kills me? That is issue for me.
-
Where is the option for some games run fine, but some seem to suffer? That's me.
-
Edited by Adam: 9/12/2014 1:06:35 AMYep! It's a spray and pray fest cos of this. Anyone who doesn't notice this is either blind, mentally retarded or delusional. BUT it is fixable, if we let Bungie know what a massive issue this is.
-
Same with me, looks like destiny is a pve game for me, until ( or if at all) the fix there shitty servers. This is worse than bf4 was
