See this is what developers do when they actually give as shit about their fans and not just about making money and scamming 12 year olds. Not to mention I GUARANTEE the Witcher 3 has 10x more content than destiny at launch.
If you think the $20 dollar destiny dlc is reasonable after seeing this you should see a psychiatrist.

4 RepliesWitcher will make more money in the long run. Activision likes their money up front. Also you can pirate Witcher if you want. They actually want you to because then you tell your friends about it and they their friends then suddenly you have all these people recommending your game and you make a lot of money. Way better than corny trailers. HURRRRRRR VENUS!!!

2 RepliesImo any company thats talks about dlc before the game release has cut the content already or they had to much content to fit on the disc for launch. Dlc used to be about the devs getting feedback after release and working on something new to enhance the players experience and keep them playing. Fair play to the witcher though, at least they are not charging for this like destiny and they will have much more content at launch!

That will be wonderful to play cooperatively with friends...oh wait...maybe some of the costs of production of an MMO can turn into free DLC when you can't make your game multiplayer in a social age...

Yep they are also releasing a single player game in the age gaming as a social experience. They need any good press and advertising they can find to increase sales numbers. Despite being probably the best single player game of all time and being the latest installement in a rich history series only is on par with battlefield 3 and CoD:Ghosts in units sold. So The Witcher which intentionally left out coop and doesn't have nearly the history of Elder Scrolls needs to maximize publicity to increase sales.

Game companies have been selling DLCs for ages now, don't see why I need to see my psychiatrist... Good for them if they're giving out free stuff but honestly, I could seriously care less.

Well seeing that the price of video games hasnt really increased with inflation of everything else, I'm not going to complain too much about paying for DLC, its basically evened out

What do you do to make $$$$. Don't you expect to be compensated for your services? How many hours of entertainment have you gotten out of this game so far? There is more value in 30hrs of game play entertainment than eating a $20 pizza. Stop your bitching and put things into perspective

It doesn't matter if the DLC was already made or not. Activision had the same choice to either charge players for each DLC or make it for free. It is what it is. But this makes me a bigger fan for the Witcher, choosing to make some DLC free goes to show they are all for satisfying the customer rather than making sure they are raking in extra dough, the way it should be. Take notes Activision, although you never will.
