sick of seeing level 31 characters with 274 attack guns in a raid
Never thought I would say this but holy cow! It is way too easy to get into the raids now and the under-levelled weapons/lack of experience can be so frustrating.
Edit: I am talking about level 30 raids here. I would never talk this way about normal mode.
Edit 2: I am trying to be as un-elitist as possible, I will usually solo the nightfall each week and put a post up offering any lower levels who want to be pulled through, no problem, but the level 30 raids are a different animal!

Edit 4: To the guy who is prattling on about getting 1188 kills in a single raid. This means
A. You were killing the endless mobs at the start to grow your e-penis.
B. You repeatedly wiped somewhere like the confluxes with your awful, underpowered weapon. 1188 kills in a single raid is something to be ashamed of.
Edit 5: This is not a discussion about gaming skill, some people are better than others and that's fine, this is a post about laziness, if you take a sub 300 weapon or no experience into a level 30 raid you are a selfish gamer, end of.
Edit 6: Hearing a level 31 say "Okay, so the three who can hold the relic get to the back of the arena, because that's who Atheon teleports." :-/
Edit 7: It is not cool to use The Last Word in a raid (I'm sure we can agree on that, at least)

They are most likely running VOG for energies so that when a 2.0 weapon drops they can level it. With current 1.0 weapons being "trash" why waste the time to level them? I'm currently sitting on a bunch of 267/277 legendaries and a couple 1.0 Truth & Gjallahorns that I don't want to waste time/mats leveling. I'm sure this is an unintended side effect of the DLC but as it is easier to find/level armor there are bound to be tons of 31/32 level toons with "weak" weapons hoping for 2.0 drops. Thank Bungie's RNG and terrible leveling design for all the underpowered guardians!

1 ReplyDamage is not everything. If you have a nice gun that does full 300+ and you can't hit many heads shots, then the person who has lower damage output who can constantly hit crits. Which would you rather have on your team? Someone who can aim, or a big headed brute with a nice gun? Not everyone spends 8+ hours playing this. I have a job I have to go to and even then, the time I spend playing destiny and I can still aim better than most and come out with most kills in a raid at least 80% of the time, not because my weapons are maxed, because only some are, but because I actually know how to aim. Which makes me more reliable than someone who claims they're good and useful just because you grinded bounties on that weapon, doesn't mean you're good with it.

Edit 5: OP tries to get another "finished it" via Atheon CP. A. Fails miserably with his 3000000 attack weapons. B. Is never heard from again.

If having players with weapons under 300 is troublesome for you then you're not as good as you think you are.

7 RepliesAlright, you want people with inferior weapons to catch up. I get it. The only gun I have maxed is Icebreaker, and it's the 300 version. I have plenty of legendaries and other exotics that aren't even close.. but why should I upgrade them if I'm only going to replace them right away? I have a legendary auto rifle that I use. It's the 300 version of a vendor auto rifle and I think it's around 274 or whatever because I don't want to upgrade it further. Tell me why I should spend a ton of materials and glimmer to upgrade it when something better could drop in Nightfall? Or something better is sent to the postmaster because I ranked up? Or I get a legendary engram with something better? Same goes for my special and heavy weapons -- why spend almost all my resources upgrading those weapons when a better version could drop in the raid I'm upgrading them for? I also have a Gjallarhorn that isn't fully upgraded. It's the 300 version and I know people bitch when they see that I haven't maxed it yet -- why the -blam!- should I? Why should I waste an exotic shard upgrading it when it's only the 300 version? I'll just have to use another, if not two, later for the same weapon. That's potentially 3 -blam!-ing shards.

I did CE two nights ago with my gf, her sister, her sisters bf, and two other friends. It was terrible and here's why. 1. The sister and her bf complained 100% of the time about wanting to go eat dinner and why we should hurry up 2. Sister and her bf leading cause of oversoul spawns. 3. Sister and bf with unleveled vog weapons...like fatebringer with 1/3rd updrages and a 257 attack rocket launcher.... It was horrible x_x

None of them had done a hard raid before and waited till we were already in the game to say it . Then when we [b]FINALLY[/b] got to atheon they kept telling me since I was Lvl 30 that I wasn't allowed to grab relic(even tho I'm a very experienced relic holder,AND I had already done relic at Templar while they all sat on the cliff) needless to say I muted my mic and ignored them and continued to grab the relic( since they died [b]every[/b] time they picked it up) and once I got lucky and was teleported every time we beat it first try. Shit like that pisses me off

14 RepliesI seriously can't comprehend how people don't have maxed out weapons by now. The game has been out over 3 months. Plenty of time to level. I always cringe when I invite people to raids and see their crappy un leveled vanguard weapons. Just don't even bother raiding if you refuse to put the time in. Plain and simple.
