Edit: i'm no weeaboo calling herself an otaku because I think it's cool or something, i do not do that. I'm from germany and most people I know know the term "otaku" just as an anime fan or enjoying games... So here we rarely get to discuss about the exact definition of an otaku, so please be a little more kind.

Why are you guys calling yourselves Otakus like it's something to be proud of? It's meant to be an insult, just like Weeaboo. How about you guys just call yourselves "fans", rather then embracing a term that has a negative connotation attached to it. It would serve better to make it so people who don't like anime (even those who do) won't be automatically disgusted when they see you. Sound good?
