Presumably meeting a partner, but it can be other stuff too. I can think of three, although one led to something sooner rather than never.
So my first: I was playing Guitar Hero World Tour with Pyroshark (former Bnet regular? Anybody? ...Really?) at the tail end of 2008. We were going for the 'A Pair Beats a Pair' Achievement of beating anyone in a 2 vs. 2 multiplayer game, and folks kept ragequitting because we were kicking their arses. However, one wonderful pair of players stuck around, allowing us to get the bleep-bloop. I messaged them with thanks and struck up a conversation with the lady. Got to know her over the following 6 months and... well, let's just say I had the time of my life. ^_^
My nan died in 2010, and my family was in our old home town (city) for her funeral and/or scattering her ashes (can't remember which it was at this point). Anyway, in town later that day, I was in a bookshop and found a children's author in a corner doing a very quiet book signing. So, having been writing full-length parodies since 2006 (which is why I came to Bnet), and having, at that point, started on my fantasy saga which I'm currently close to getting published, I asked her what I should do to get my stuff out there. Her advice kickstarted my journey to finding the industry handbook, finding agencies, sending off query letters and manuscripts, and facing rejection four times since. But hey, at least I had a go. Probably would have got there sooner or later, but that definitely gave me an in.
Finally, I was at a comic-con in October 2012, on my own to see a Doctor Who panel. I'd got talking to a gang in the queue, and passed through the ticket scanners. Turned around to see an adorable girl (just a few years younger than me) come through the scanners, also on her own, and spot me, before asking in a French-Canadian accent, 'You're here for the Doctor Who thing, aren't you?' Not a great display of telepathy, I was just cosplaying the Eleventh Doctor. So we spent all day at the con together, added each other on Facebook, and then she came visiting with her twin sister the following May. Who is equally adorable. And was single. :D And we hit it off fantastically. But yeah. Canada. So last January, she said we couldn't realistically do anything, and now she's been with her current boyfriend for just over a year. Which is great. ^_^ He's an awesome guy. Also, I'm visiting them in August. :D
So what about you lot? Any life-changing unlikely moments for you?

Sounds like an awesome life

This isn't very life changing, but it was a weird bunch of coincidences. So I was walking downtown to meet up with some friends. Earlier that day I had been at band camp, and on my way there, I walked by my coach, whom I had just seen an hour ago. Then I walked by an old teacher of mine who was sitting at a coffee shop tutoring a kid I knew. This same teacher was friends with my mom in high school. Then I saw one of my teachers across the street unloading a baby carriage. She didn't see me through. Keep in mind that all that happened within the time span of about 2 minutes. I hang out with my friends for about an hour, then we decide to get ice cream. We go to an ice cream shop and as we're leaving a girl from my class (whom I used to have a crush on) pulls up with her dad. We say hi to her and continue on our way. It is then that I decide to walk home. On my way home I saw a senior who had just graduated from my school. He isn't a close friend, but we know each other well because we would usually both get leading roles in school plays. All that in one afternoon. I kid you not. This really happened about three weeks ago. I swear I'm telling the truth.

When I left my mothers stomach

Well, I once saw Joe Swash at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Just walked past him, and never spoke to him. Not important, but a coincidence nonetheless.
