I know Bungie has made it so that engrams almost always give you duplicates of items you already have. This is clearly to keep players grinding for that almost zero percent chance an item they don't have will drop, but the drop rate on items you haven't had is so low that it becomes beyond infuriating.
In the last two weeks I have done more heroic strikes that I care to count to try and get the Daedalus Code hand cannon before it become unobtainable forever. I am currently level 63 on Vanguard and I am so annoyed now to have wasted so much time and effort to get nothing but endless duplicates of items I already have. Bungie when you make gridding for items so fruitless you just turn people off the game. Instead of being hyped now for the new content only a week away, I don't think I want to buy it now because I'm so worn out and tired now with playing D2.

Editado por Shaddow: 9/4/2018 6:58:42 AMOne week later I am now level 103 on Vanguard and still no Daedalus Code hand cannon. I think my original point is proven, if not lets look at the numbers; there is 20 items in the primary Vanguard loot pool (15 weapons and 5 armour pieces) that you are guaranteed to receive one of every time you level up. Assuming there is no loot drop algorithms in place you should have a 5% (1 in 20) chance of getting a set item in each drop, every drop. In this case with 103 drops the chances that you will not receive that one item you want is approximately just 0.5% (1 in 200). The truth is when you factor in other drops that include Vanguard items like completing Vanguard milestones, and sometimes even strike challenges, and also clan engrams, I would guess that I've had double the chances to get that hand cannon over the last year yet it has never dropped for me. It is obvious Bungie controls the drop rate on items you have not received before. In D1 I remember from year 2 onwards I never received a new exotic item from any gold engram. The only times I got new exotics from engrams was on those very rare times that purple (sometimes even blue) engrams dropped an exotic, as it appears Bungie didn't or where unable to control what exotics dropped in those cases. Either way it is now 3 weeks of fruitless gridding and I have to say that I hate Bungie now with an unequaled passion. Hell I think I love EA in comparison to Bungie now, which is saying something seeing how much I really hate EA and their loot boxes etc.
