Raid “Beta” never tried or used it.

I have a question you guys. I never been much of a raid player than i was in the past because of my own obligations. But i always looked at the “Beta” where you go to raids but i have NEVER thought of trying it out. I figure i ask here if anyone of you people have done it before and could give me your POV in how works for you guys. Comment here when you can if its possible.

  • Guided Games honestly just isn't worth it. Not enough people use it to make it worth using consistently, especially after the beginning of the season. In the few times I've used it, I've typically seen queue times range anywhere from 20 minutes to "unknown" (which, from my experience, is going to be at least an hour long queue time more often than not). In that same time you can just boot up lfg and usually find someone trying to get a group together, or just make a post yourself and form a group on your own terms. Of course, that's just from the solo player experience. I've never done GG with the rest of my clan to see how well the other half of the matchmaker works. I would imagine it works much quicker than the solo queue, but again, lfg exists and the latter is generally more efficient.

  • I did a few guided games with my old clan and from our side it was fine. We would pick up a random and give him a job for each encounter. No real issues. No idea what it is like being the the dude looking for a group to carry them through. All I've herd is be ready to spend multiple hours in queue. Hope I'm wrong but guided games was pretty much D.O.A.

  • You can queue into it solo and you can wait for it to match you with a group that will likely teach the raid, or you can match as a group looking for players. It’s been in beta since the start of D2 and can easily take 45+ mins to match someone. If you’re interested in raiding, it’s more efficient to just link up on LFG.

    • Joining a clan that is helpful and does raids is another good option. Dont be afraid to switch clans if the first one doesnt work out. Good luck!

    • Guided games does work. However it's better near the beginning of the season when there is a fresh raid. No raids released lately and near the middle/end of this season, so probably not the best time. It's also better on weekend evenings. If the guided games timer says "unknown", then there may not be many teams hosting new players. Your best bet is to use LFG, have a mic so you can communicate. I try to join a group that is trying to help a friend or a Sherpa trying to help 5 new players. These are rare, but keep looking. Either watch a guide so you have an idea or go in blind and you better be good at taking directions, it's ok to make mistakes. Definitely don't join one that says kwtd, know what to do, unless you know what you're doing. I've beaten all the raids for the first time with lfg teams, so it's possible. If you like some of the people you play with, don't be afraid to send a friend request after a clear. These are solid players that can follow directions. Good luck and have fun.

The number of guides is very few these days, so good luck finding any.
