The ruffian triumph is ruining Expedition
Please, please change how ruffians work, or the requirements for the title. I am so tired of having to borderline grief my teammates by throwing away treasures just to complete even a fraction of the required 50 ruffian kills. It's miserable for the people just trying to complete the treasure objective too, I'm sure. At this point, I'm concerned that by trying to go for this triumph (which is required for the title), I'm just going to get reported repeatedly for griefing and subsequently banned. And I'm doubt I'd be the only one.
Why make something like this required for the title when it screws absolutely everyone over? :(

5 RespuestasNot an issue at all. YOU can make your own team if you want to ignore the main objective. If you just quickplay and throw charges across map, I'll just continue to report for sabotage which is bannable.

And it rewards repute, which makes it mandatory if you want to complete the seasonal seal. Funny thing is that they pair the requirement of killing 10 ruffians with a requirement of gathering 50 treasures. This is true PvP. Had so many ppl leave or message me that they are reporting me, bc I have had to resort to dropping a bubble on the treasure to keep it from gaining progress to spawn ruffians. Its ridiculous. At this point they need to just auto complete it for everyone.8 weeks and I'm at 22.

3 RespuestasAt this point I just play expedition by ear. If the blueberries want to spawn ruffians, I’ll gladly wait for them to spawn. If it looks like they just want to blast through the activity as fast as possible, I won’t slow them down.

We've been purposely ignoring the treasure as well but I'm in a group. Either way... the triumph is total nonsense. Just more random grind grind grind the same content over and over again.

4 RespuestasNews flash IF you want to chase ruffians, create an lfg, list you are after the ruffians and get 2 other team mates and grind out several at a time. Why people think MM needs to be something to fit exactly what they are after is beyond me. This is just another example of why MM in higher tier end game activities should never be considered.

2 RespuestasYeah. I've genuinely angered people for tossing away the treasure engrams. Last week, I'm sure I was reported by a dude who kept shooting me with his auto rifle for tossing them. He was clearly ticked and had no idea what was happening. I hope Bungie sees the increased griefing reports during the Expedition activity and learns how dumb this was.

I got lucky in two runs last night where someone else actually started tossing them into lala land before me. I'm always happy to see that happen so I'm not the one pissing others off. The 3min timer for the first and the second being random is the biggest piece of crap Bungo has given us after the crappy RNG-H (Really Never Gonna Happen) for pinnacle drops or raid weapon drops. Sadly I still have 20+ more to go. But truth be told I no longer care about getting this title as it's pissing me off more then running 10 trillion Strange Terrain runs for a worthless rocket launcher for the Wayfarer title. Serious took me almost a year to get it to drop!

3 RespuestasYou're right, it sucks how this triumph mechanic is set up. With that said, you'll only get reported if you don't allow your teammates to get a shot on the ruffians. If they don't, it won't count for them, so you wasted their time at that point.

2 Respuestasthose spawns are completely random i've had them spawn while tossing treasures, dealing with jammers, and dealing with saboteurs and i've had them spawn by having idiot teammates throwing orbs everywhere except the wagon these missions are boring, easy, and repetitive just go in, do the mission and then do something else for the rest of the week instead of wasting time and energy and your mental state on something pointless

Even intentionally playing as slowly as possible, they seem to spawn at around 96% every time. So if you're playing with blueberries, it's nearly impossible to get the champions to appear unless they're also going for the triumph or they are extremely slow.
