Without a doubt, the most annoy and difficult GMs of the past few seasons are Battlegrounds. Where enemies are just free to spawn endlessly unless you have to progress the objective (which is annoying enough to get there alone most of the time).
This week's GM (PsiOps Cosmodrome) is probably the worst example of why Battlegrounds are the worst addition to the GMs. The first escort isn't that big of a deal, until the 2nd major room. This room provides no cover, and you're pretty much forced to spam invisibility to enter the room or shoot through the doorway and try not to shoot your teammate in the back of the head with a rocket. Moving to the boss room, it's just hell in a mindscape. Yet a room with little to no cover, enemies swarming you and wizards with the ability to melt you instantly, and then Savathun's Aspects. The Aspects of Savathun are what completely ruins the entire boss room alone, her Nova Bombs track you no matter where you are and her "Viscous Light" Arc blasts will kill you no matter what (even if the threat is a different element.)
If you're going to be giving us new GMs, make strikes that give us plenty of room to rotate, play cover, and strategize accordingly. Not throw us into a pit and toss enemies on top of us. We're sick of the small scale rooms we are supposed to use in Battlegrounds.

Battlegrounds shouldn't be GM's while the bosses cam 1 tap through any resilience and resistance mods. Playing invis spam isn't fun even if it's a way around it. The PsiOps BG's are the worst for having the Savathûn clones that one shot across the map and even under cover with the arc super they have.

Yeah, the "core playlists" have been basically left to rot. I don't even know how they can continue to call them that if they are barely going to support them. Crucible is getting a map pack as an apology, I think they should do the same for the Vanguard.

This nightfall is really not that bad. If anyone needs help, I am willing to lend a hand!

True, I don't remember the last time i did a gm, because most of the weekly rotations are battleground nonsense. I think wardens law is the weapon this week so i might try to run it with my cousine

Battlegrounds were awful content when they were the seasonal activity. Not to mention they got hyper-played out during the seasons they were released. Adding BGs to the strike/GMNF playlist was clearly done out of the studio's laziness to produce Strike content. This is the purposely under-deliver, "let the trains leave the station unfinished for the live-team to try and fix" arm of the studio's management in full effect.

Honestly I’d even prefer if they brought back vaulted strikes, there were a few years where I didn’t really play pve at all so there are a bunch of strikes I never got to do on GM difficulty.

Games become unbearably unfun for the majority. The difficulty is fun the first time but not fun to farm. And it's not worth it. We need 4x rewards to make battlegrounds worth it.

Are you saying we need a strike strike team 😆? (as opposed to a crucible strike team?)

Editado por MythosPraxis: 1/11/2024 10:13:13 PMWhat, you don’t want to grind your balls off for the chance at maybe getting a mediocre Braytech Osprey???? Couldn’t agree more. I think most people do. I can’t imagine people are lining up to play battleground GMs. Especially now that most of us know that Warden’s Law isn’t worth it either— and it’s the most lucrative weapon affiliated with them.
