Gambit and Strike ideas: I feel like Destiny is afraid of just having good fun

It kind of feels like Destiny is taking itself a little too seriously and trying to make everything more competitive or challenging. All the fun chill activities reward next to nothing and the only activities with rewards worth getting are absolute slogs to get through. Some of the most fun I've had in destiny was during the "Fun Guns" glitch and seeing the stuff for Destiny Rising with clan bases and unique and interesting supers just makes me wonder why doesn't Destiny 2 implement things like this? I mean a titan using heavy artillery as their special ability instead of a million different roaming melee supers just seems like such an obvious win to take and clan bases where everyone can build something together and gain resources and rewards through mining operations and upgrading their base sounds amazing! However, Destiny seems to be focused on making sure enemies don't die too quick and activities are drawn out more with invulnerability phases and drawn out mechanics to prevent completing it faster. I get having Grandmasters, dungeons and raids be extra challenging, but when it comes to strikes or even gambit, why do these activities have to be like pulling teeth. Id love to see an option for private lobbies on strikes with the options to pick and choose different modifiers. Then having the choices of your modifiers affects your rewards in the end. Have easier content have just a small chance of landing you an exotic or good materials and as you add harder modifiers the chances grow. That way even if you want to just play regular strikes with your guardian 20 levels higher than all the enemies and just chill throughout it, you have the possibility of getting something nice if you do it enough, while still rewarding players for choosing more challenging options. As for Gambit, no one really plays it which is a shame. So much potential, but I feel like it gets ruined by having too much PvP for PvE players and too much PvE for PvP players. There should be two types of gambit. One that focuses more on PvE, like having no invasions, just a straight race to see who can deposit the most motes. Then another option that focuses more on PvP, like having an actual PvP match that allows you to summon taken enemies to aid you in combat with the other players. Players running around with taken goblin invulnerability shields would be pretty fun. Do you guys think these ideas could work out? Let me know if there's anything you would like to see added that would add to the fun factor of Destiny
