I heared and read the news, Destiny 2’s player count is reaching an all-time low.
https://thegamepost.com/destiny-2-players-population-drops-all-time-low/
I feel so sad, but we(and you) must make our fates for saving our future of the "destiny2".
This is my opinion, and want to read this for Bungie staff.
*if you read my opnion and feel agree, please upvote.
There used to be good quality 6-people VE contents in the far past.
・Menagerie (S7:Opulence)
・Vex Offensive (S8:Undying)
・Sundials(S9:Dawning)
・Override(S14:Splicer)
・Astral Alignment, Exorcism(S15:Lost)
・Ketchcrash(S18:Plunder)
*but I did not enjoy Salvage (Season of the Deep,S21).
*Especially, Menagerie, Exorcism, KetchCrash is my personal favorite.
It would be a shame to have a revival of Exoquests(The Whisper,Zero-Hour) and not have these
vE old contents revived. The good past assets should be repurposed.
These vE old contents must revived as content that benefits both newbies and hardcore players, and easy to play and can do farming, and can join as quick-match making casually to make it easier to understand that this is how to joy playing Destiny2.
There will be found lots of glitches, bugs, etc. caused by the current specifications(prismatic, stasis, strands and so on), and No wonder that you bungie-staffs does not like the fact that it is easily farming something seasonal items so fastest by causing due to the above.
However, it is only a matter of determining that bugs and glitches are to be expected and setting the content rewards accordingly.
some-example reward
・just only glimmers but cant get more than 150k glimmers(or over 30% of max glimmers) per round.
*need 4 rounds if you want max glimmers from empty.
*In case, weekly rest reward can get more than 250k glimmers.
Newbie players can joy to play with nothing to think hard, and with feeling "many friend players and many enemies" and can get glimmer easily.
Hardcore players can joy and feel so nostalgic in old contents, and can easy to farm glimmers for making upgrade own powerful suits or opening seasonal and the ritual activity engrams(include trials of osiris, iron banners).
*If these are too difficult to do for free, I never mind with paying for them.
*I would gladly pay to be able to play them as additional DLC if bungie need setting that plice around 30 bucks.
It doesn't matter if the content is used and unadjusted as is.
Only a very few hardcore players who have been playing for over 5 years will care about not unadjusted. The newbies who are coming from now or future don't know about that past seasonal things, and they gonna feel that past seasonal things are same as new contents.
I understand that you bungie staffs are busy creating New episodes and New DLCs things, but I just want you to know that there is also the joy of being able to play past season things that we could not play now.
I hope it will be sublimated into a good destiny2 next year.
best regard.

I actually enjoyed salvage quite a bit over deep dives and having not really played the other suggestions, I would really like for that to come back
-
I'd take all of them back

The DCV isn't a vault, its a tomb, and those buried within will be regurgitated over and over until they lose all appeal. Just look at the upcoming season, A Destiny1 location and likely not in full, likely to be removed at the end of its cycle and never seen again, resurrected for a day. To use Bungies own words: A dead thing, made by a dead power, in the shape of the dead. This is the future of seasons.

I'd love some of these coming back but they won't.

Wrath of the Machine.

As all they get is old recycled content. So why on earth would we want more old stuff. This is the reason the player count is so low. Everyone is tired of the same stale boring recycled stuff. This game needs a complete shake up. Or maybe they should just shut the servers down altogether as I can't see this game getting better anytime soon.

Loved override and Ketchcrash.

these 6 person MATCHMADE activities I felt were a certain heart of the game that were fun... but just for glimmer?? very few will do that for just glimmer.. they need universal engrams, attunement of every single thing in the game if not crafting...etc.. but I do agree that these type activities is the right track.

Menagerie introduced a focusing/crafting hybrid that was okay, but the rest weren't as rewarding except for the red borders. Red borders saved those other seasons.

Menagerie/black armory should be the standard for seasonal content imo. Both were fun and engaging. BA was full of secrets and goodies with fun community driven puzzles and good loot that you could target farm based on which armory was open that week. Rare bounties were a mixed bag but I felt it was a good addition. They could bring those back and use them to get guarantee drops or something something that sort. When you finish stuff mission or kill a gold bar enemy you have a chance for a rare bounty that let's you pick a curated roll of a seasonal weapon. Something like that could be good. Menagerie was a very fun loop with a solid target farm. My only gripe is that it was a 6 man mission. Which is fun when you have a full team. Annoying as hell when you have 5 randos. Other than that it was a ton of fun with a solid way to get rolls. I even feel like Jokers Wild had good intentions but failed on execution.

I can't agree that this is exactly "sad" per say. Its more "concerning" but those two games that just came out are pretty big games and that's probably where a lot of people went for now, especially since there's less to do in Destiny. It almost seems like since there's two big games out why risk now limited resources when the playerbase is probably going to be on fire regardless. If next episode is good this time period wont be seen as that big of a deal. The first episode was good even if people don't want to say that. This one has some issues. Hopefully the next one is the best. Oh I forgot. I said its not sad because the game isn't going anywhere (hehe... hopefully) and it has been very successful for 10 years, this one 7 years, while other games have come out and gone away in giant balls of flame. The weird thing about the 6 man stuff is that if you were to compare it to now in its original form it would probably be more underwhelming that what a lot of people think it would. That's just because that's how games have always worked. It would be nice to have everything in the game though. Tbh, there should probably be a node or something for that content because the game has built up quite a store of it over the years. And it is good for quick sessions and newer players alike. It would probably be fine if it wasn't adjusted for new players but some of that stuff that's the oldest is probably pretty easy for our characters now to say the least. That is a really good idea of how to put something in the game for newer or more "chill" players though so that's what's most important.
