Music is for sharing, and in this case, it's no small composition.

Mark Mckenzie is honored to have orchestrated and recorded a yet to be released 50 minute, Eight movement symphonic and choral suite entitled "Destiny: Music of the Spheres" for composers Martin O’Donnell, Michael Salvatori and Sir Paul McCartney. The music was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios using a 106 piece orchestra, large choir and the famed London boys choir LIBERA with Sir Paul McCartney attending.
For the ones unaware, this is about Music of the Spheres, an orchestral suite composed as a prequel for the game. It is also used in game and gives Destiny a soul and a story which was otherwise absent.
Quite an achievement and a very important composition to grace the video game world. But a release? Not yet. All the fans got so far are excerpts which can be found in the OST 1 release.
“As far as I’m concerned, this ‘big win’ was nothing more than a petty vindictive effort to personally hurt Marty by using copyright law to take any right he had to the amazingly beautiful music that he spent over a year of his career making. They even made him return promotional copies of the Music of the Spheres CD. And now they want to trumpet this as this as a huge victory. Instead, I think this was despicable and they ought to be ashamed.”
Many people are interested in its release and incredibly frustrated and sad it hasn't happened yet in spite of whatever internal breakdowns occurred at the studio, we as fans are only reaping the nasty consequences.
This guy spent hours and hours putting together the bits and pieces in public domain to give us this.

Others are just wondering, guessing for a good reason not to publish this music. Is this a simple vendetta?

If you allowed this glorious composition to leave the drawer that it's sitting in and finally publish the music in its entirety, it could be an attempt to honor the composers as well as fix the enormous disrespect and pain given to them while alleviating a lot of frustration and anger from fans. Plus you get to make some $! Win win, win.
Please do it.

I have to agree, I would pay quite a bit for music of the spheres. The Taken King soundtrack was kind of underwhelming. I love the Soul of Crota song and Regicide, but overall... bland. You can definitely hear a huge difference between just the excerpts and the TTK music. I'm not saying the original Destiny soundtrack was better because I love Marty's work, and I do, but it just is better in every way. I'd say it would be a good idea to release the spheres music with Marty as it would go a long way in fixing that rift between him and Bungie even if it doesn't fix it. Favorite tracks: The Traveler, All of the Excerpts, The Last Array, End of Line, Sepiks Prime, The Gatelord, and Untold Legends! I still play the Last Array mission just to relive the moment and music! Thanks for reading!

It's still disgusting that Bungie is keeping the work hidden because they don't want to be associated with it after how they treated him. I hope someday a decent person at Bungie will 'leak' it or something. Because it should have been heard years ago.

100% agree with you my friend. Music is an art form and should never be hidden away. It should be shared with everyone. I have no problem paying them to get the Music of the Spheres, I just want to hear the beautiful soundtrack we've only gotten snippets of. And enough of this boring taken king music, it's too tame, too mediocre. I want music to make me feel like I'm on a space adventure! Not just slogging through another strike. This is why Sepiks Prime is still my favorite strike, the flow of music in it was outstanding.

Just saying Bungie, it wo9uld show at least some good will if done right which you kinda need right now...

I just want sheet music of all instruments that participated in Cabal Stomp. Not some piano crap though.

I agree, especially since I bought both soundtracks. After listening to the OST all the way through, it sounds very incomplete. I always knew that music of the spheres was a huge part of the music for destiny, but it's even more obvious when you listen to what was released. Music is meant to be heard and shouldn't be locked away for no one to enjoy

You want Paul McCartney music published. Are you fricking mad.
-
I'd pay $50 for the album.
