Yep. The whole of existence is based around consumption of things that are "alive" in some way. Seems pretty -blam!-ed up when you think about it. We could honestly be more respectful about how we do it though. It's just that the demand of a massive population has caused the process to be out of sight and out of mind and has desensitized us to it, and even has some of us glorifying what is actually a horrid and probably immoral process. Oh well... *eats steak*
