The Last Word story ends at Dwindler's Ridge sometime between Six Fronts and Twilight Gap. That means guardian Shin Malphur could still be alive, but its not looking good. There are only three (maybe four) people I can think of around Six Fronts that are still around today, and at least two of them died. Osiris*, Toland*, and the Speaker. Maybe Saint-14. *Dead, but still kicking it as Light Shin Malphur was special, though. He could wield the Light without being chosen. He wasn't the chosen dead like us, he was just a Boy trying to survive this harsh new world. He might not be around today, but you can bet your grandma's dentures his story is not over
