By now, I hope everyone has seen or at least heard of the sea monster that lurks beneath Titans waves. Since I haven't seen a post about it, I've decided to make one.
You can see a "Loch Ness monster" style serpent rising from the waves if you watch the ocean outside Sloanes window (look towards the barges) or if you're down in the heart of the Arcology, you can look out the giant glass window to see a very eerie leviathan swimming slowly by (during the fun campaign mission where you grab the CPU or during the Savathuns Song strike).
What are your speculations? Is it just some giant alien? Is it the Hive worm of Oryx? Share your thoughts!

Everyone! There is new information regarding the Titan Leviathan. In the Prophecy dungeon Eris says “ The Hive nest there, in the ruins of the Golden Age. And a leviathan of untold strength has made it her home.” referring to the New Pacific Arcology. This is an actual in universe reference to the Titan Leviathan. That means Bungie hasn’t just written off the leviathan as an easter egg.
What are your speculations? Is it just some giant alien? Is it the Hive worm of Oryx? Share your thoughts!
First of all, it can't be Oryx. There is no way that Oryx could still be alive. Not even the King of the Taken can escape by the rules of the Ascendant Realm, we know this for sure. From the Book of Sorrow, L: Woormfood:
"If my echoes are killed, and I am killed in the material world, then I will be driven back to my throne the Dreadnaught. If my Court and my throne can be beaten, if I am confronted in my throne, if I am defeated there, then I will die. My work will end."
And we did this. We killed him in the material world, we deostryed his echoes, then we beated his court and killed him in his throne in the Ascendat Realm. Oryx is dead. It can't come back. I simply think that that creature is only an alien form that took life after the arrival of the Traveler. It is already happened, for example, the Ahamkara riched the Solar System after the arrival of the Traveler.< Do you remember the batcdyles on Venus that we thought were the Ahamakaras? This is the same thing. They are only some thing put by Bungie with the purpose to specualte on them, to let talk about the game, the planet, some weird mistery that actually are not if not pixels...

The spiky creature is actually just 3 spiky circles. Not a hive...
That was obviously sarcasm
The weird swimming Leviathan is just a giant hive turd floating down there...
I mean we are firing guns and using Nova bombs. You’d think a giant creature that wanted to kill us would sense the vibrations of all that we were doing and slam his ass into the ship and drown us all in weird space liquid...
Giant floating penises made to -blam!- you

Editado por The Blitzkrieg0: 10/12/2017 11:07:06 PMHow in the name of Osiris could it be orxy's worm people? 1. Dreadnought was in Saturn's rings 2. Titan orbits far outside of Saturn's rings 3. Gravity

Serpentine Creature - Native life to Titan. Considering the Batadactyls on Venus this isn't impossible. Huge fat thing - Either a fully grown worm that never got ingested or another methane-based lifeform native to Titan.
-
I’m pretty sure those are different. There are two white serpent looking ones. And the other creature looks exactly like a hive worm which aren’t white.

people seem to think its oryx's worm.

What makes this official?

Editado por enivel: 10/12/2017 1:28:43 PMThere are several Leviathans mentioned in lore. First, there’s the ship. (Not actually first but well start here.). In one of the pair cards it shows a large creature, presumably a leviathan, on a cabal planet with Cabal looking at it either eating a city or falling from the sky and sliding across the planet. It could have then been weaponized to the ship we have now. Secondly, there’s the Nine. Descendants of Leviathans from planets like Titan, literally mentioned. Xur is their agent and the actual Nine could be actual Leviathan minds projecting this emissary to us. Still a lot to find out. Lastly, the most interesting, is the Leviathan that Oryx and his sisters encountered while fleeing the Helium Drinkers. The Leviathan, described as a student to the Traveller, warns them not to delve deeper into The Deep and warns them about the Worm Gods. After gaining power from the Worms, the three sisters attack this Leviathan that was deep in the seas of their home world. I don’t believe it actually referenced an ocean but it was protecting The Deep and was attacked. It could have died or could have been killed in space while Oryx and his sisters were aboard “The Needle (?)”. Could have crashed into the Cabal planet. The Leviathans are like the old Illuminati, they want what’s best and fight for the light. So they reward us to help fight the darkness. His explains Xur and now explains why this Emissary gifts us weapons for our abilities.

It is a boss for the new strike in DLC 2. Endboss fight. Kill a hive wizard protecting a solar stone solar stone implodes into a core upon wizard death. Carry solar cores around and dump it into a methane burner to smoke out the giant worm/snake out of his dwelling and DPS untill he dives back under again.

To me, they look different. The one in the arcology looks like a massive hive worm, which fits in nicely with the surroundings (Savathuns worm maybe?) The one on the surface looks a bit crude graphic wise, so I wonder if Bungie stuck it in last minute just for fun? It doesn't look like a Hive worm
