We seek to foster an environment that spurs skilled play and self-improvement without losing sight of why we play in the first place: Fun. CORE is on the larger end of clan sizes: we maintain three bungie.net clans, and over 430 users on our Discord. Of that count, 194 have been voted into full members ("Regulars") and are thus guaranteed roster slots while they are active in D2. We also kick accounts from our Bungie.net clans that have not logged in in over two weeks (regardless of rank), and following a round of kicks earlier this week we currently have 95, 85, and 82 accounts in our three clans. I provide this to show that CORE is not just a parking lot for accounts, our roster lists are reasonably accurate as to number of active players. The average age of our community is 26, with 75% of our playerbase being in North America (EST mainly) and the remainder across Europe and Asia-Pacific. Our social hub is Discord, both in voice and text, which is supplemented by a Shivtr site for calendar functionality. The majority membership of our community is primarily PvE focused with raids run both prescheduled and ad hoc throughout the week. We are actively looking to grow the PvP side of the house via a learn to PvP style coaching event, and via internal and external scrims once Private Matches are patched in. We also maintain and are attrempting to grow a [url=https://www.speedrun.com/destiny2]Speedruns [/url]team. Said team had a go at the recent Eater of Worlds lair world's first, finishing at 29th place per [url=http://raid.report/leaderboard/world-first/eater-of-worlds/normal]raid.report,[/url] and presently are running Nightfalls in order to learn mechanics, familiarize players, and learn optimizations. ----- CORE is founded upon four principles; these define the type of environment you can expect from us. [b]1. Games are meant to be fun. [/b]Games are an escape, an entertaining and challenging diversion from our day to day lives. Thus, if you're not having fun playing in any given group, why are you playing with them? At Ferrous Core we're about mutual respect among adults while playing for good fights, good loot, and more tally marks in the win column. [b]2. Teamwork is overpowered, so USE IT.[/b] We are unashamed tryhards. We play to win, because victory and personal success in these digital realms is always more rewarding and fun than the alternative. We will joke and laugh and screw around, but all players here are expected to put on their game face and play hard when the caller says it’s time to be serious. [b]3. Maturity, Responsibility, and Self-Improvement. [/b]We seek to foster an environment in which players identify and take responsibility for their own actions and defects, and seek assistance in improving both their level of play and themselves at and away from the keyboard. It is only in cooperation and pushing each other to be better that any of us may reach our full potential, both as gamers and as human beings. [b]4. Think of being an Auxiliary as a "test drive" of CORE; we want you to get a feel for the group, play with people, and hang out in Discord. During this time the regulars will be reviewing you in a private channel, and once you receive enough positive reviews you'll be elevated to the rank of Regular yourself. The voting thing sounds tougher than it actually is; just be active, be awesome, and you'll be noticed. There's no time limit on being an aux, no BS. Roster slots are given to Auxiliaries on a first come first served basis when slots are available, so consider that incentive to be awesome and become a regular so that you are guaranteed a slot while you remain active.
