Foetracer: How it works, and why you shouldn't just go putting things on your head

Foetracer is an interesting exotic. Its exotic perk, Relentless Tracker, states that it;
Visually marks targeted enemies. Deals more damage to low-health marked enemies.
Not quite the clearest language if you ask me. Let me help clear up what the perk Relentless Tracker actually does. When you place your reticle over an enemy within 100m they become marked with a large red X. This X is visible through all terrain, allowing you to keep track of your marked target even through walls. However if you look away from a marked enemy (remove your reticle from them) the mark begins a five second timer. If five seconds expires the mark is removed, even if the target is still on screen. Looking directly at a marked target will reset the timer to five seconds and the timer won't start again until you stop looking at them. In addition to this only one enemy can be marked at a time. Looking at another enemy will instantly remove the mark from the previous enemy and add it to the new enemy. What about the damage buff? Now here's what makes Foetracer interesting. An enemy is classified as "low health" when they reach 30% of their total health. Once they've reach low health for every 1% of health they lose the player gains 1% of extra damage, all the way up to 30%. That means at 29% enemy health the player deals 1% extra damage. At 5% enemy health the player deals 25% extra damage. This makes your damage ramp up the weaker an enemy is. This buff of course applies to all damage by the player including supers and abilities, and stacks with all other buffs and debuffs. Due to the nature of its ramping damage Foetracer is best used with weapons that have high firerates such as automatic weapons like Auto Rifles and Submachine Guns or Burst fire weapons like Pulse Rifles and Fusion Rifles. Weapons that deal high damage per shot like Handcannons, Scout Rifles, and Sniper Rifles will get little use out of Foetracer as the extra damage will often go to waste as overkill unless the enemy has an exceptionally large health pool like a boss.
