Have you checked your vault and both of your characters? If it is not in any of these places it possibly was dismantled, which can't be undone. That said, with PL being an Exotic you can simply pull another from your collections.

Are you not able to pull another one from Collections? If you truly owned the gun it should be unlocked in Collections. All exotics unlocked on your account can be re-acquired from Collections.
