Net Neutrality

This link is to a petition against the FCC implementing net neutrality for all ISP's. I suggest everyone at least look at this and even if you don't sign it, be aware that this will directly affect us as gamers. The FCC would propose higher fees associated with standard to higher end Internet bandwidth on the corporate level, meaning that companies like Comcast, Verizon, Cox and other ISP's will get increased data charges depending on how fast your internet is that they provide to you in your home. What does that all mean, Asa?? You might ask... Well, as seen in any corporate strong arming situations the bill is going to be passed on to us. We will have data caps on the Internet we use in our own homes while gaming online, downloading digitally, patch downloads, etc...We pay for the Internet already, handsomely I might add, and I'm not about to pay more for less value and a slower more neutral Internet speed. This is bullsh!t plain and simple. So, please check it out and at least inform yourself as to what this net neutrality is and what it means for everyone.

  • Developers should be up in arms. Think of Destiny always being online or you having to download such a game in the near future and you went over your cap. DLCs and updates all piling in just driving your phone bill or cable bill through the roof. Let alone Netflix. Solo gaming and local LAN parties all over again. Welcome back to 1997.
