The Moment I Realized Destiny is an Overly Polished, Bad Game.

I was playing Destiny yesterday and completing the utterly monotonous bounties when it hit me: Destiny is an extraordinarily polished, atrocious game. Think about it: the graphics are fantastic, the mechanics are tight and spot on, and the controls are good. The story is awful, the missions are laughably repetitive and vague in context, and there is very little actual endgame content outside of the Raids- which can only be completed for rewards ONCE a week (to slow player progress and extend the game's lifespan). We essentially complete the same bounties everyday, do the same 6 or 7 strikes over and over and over again, and play in the same 10 multiplayer maps. We complete the same raids- the VoG being so overplayed that most of us could complete it with our eyes closed. What's very interesting here is the abusive mindset of Bungie and Activision here. Think about Destiny from their point of view. Players can be coaxed into playing daily with daily "bounties" and a daily story mission in which experience can be gained. On Tuesdays, the majority of the player base will complete the most rewarding content- the Raid and a random strike mission with increased difficulty. Fridays can lure players back who have already completed the Raid and weekly strike to purchase powerful gear from a "randomized" vendor. In between these major days, players engage in typical, repetitive strikes, complete the same repetitive bounties, and play in the same repetitive multiplayer modes. Look at the strategic distribution of DLC as well. Destiny launches on Sept. 9th. Two months after release, DLC 1 is released because the majority of the player base is expected to have reached maximum level and will start to grow tired of the same content. DLC 1 contains "just enough" content to keep the player base satisfied for another few months, giving time for the release of DLC 2 and so forth. All of this not mentioning the blatant false advertisement of the game since 2013. And before you people start jumping on me- yes, I have been playing Destiny since launch. I have played a lot of the game and unlocked almost all of the gear it has to offer. I have just taken a step back to look at what is really going on with this game, and I'm not a fan at all. I'm not wasting any more of my time on this polished trash of a game. That money can go to games I KNOW will blow this game out of the water : -Arkham Knight -Star Wars: Battlefront -The Witcher 3 -Uncharted 4 Goodbye Destiny!
