Is anyone else getting these Ahamkara hints?

Following the finale mission, dialogue within Savathun's Spire has changed to include new dialogue from Savathun, Immaru, Eris, and Ikora. Most noteably, among these are references to that seem to point towards Ahamkara/Riven.
Savathun: My sister feels her worms gnawing hunger, gnawing away at her for running away from us. She had to keep testing her strength if she didn't want to be eaten alive... and she has no one left to love. Now you see: I needed my Worm exorcised so I could tell you the truth. And didn't I hold up my end of the bargain. I knew you could do it. You've done so many impossible things... O murderer mine.
The last time we heard the words, "O murderer mine." We had just slain Riven the Last Known Ahamkara. I can't shake the feeling that Bungie built themselves a contingency with their wording way back in Forsaken. Either they knew they weren't done with the Ahamkara or just wanted some security in case they decided to dust them off again.
Immaru: Savathun took these guys apart and put them back together. She knows exactly how they work. They're a little Ahamkara trick. Wishing somebody back doesn't always mean they'll come back the same. I heard Eris knows a thing or two about wishing. Too bad you put Riven in the ground. Sounds like you could use a wish or two.
Can't say I completely disagree with Immaru here, IT IS beginning to seem like nothing short of an Ahamkara wish will get us through that portal now.
Ikora & Eris: Ikora: Eris, I have sent a message to the Techeuns as you requested. Eris: Thank you, Ikora. Queen Mara will know the way forward. A long time ago, she listened when I warned her of Oryx's immanent threat. With this, she constructed a throne world of her own. It saved her life. May she arm herself with our knowledge once again.
We know for fact Mara has an Ahamkara Egg safely tucked away in the Keep of Voices. We saw it during Season of the Lost. However, this could also be Eris passing along information on the Imbaru Engine, especially since it shares some thematic and functional similarities with the Dreaming City curse. Also the consider Ye Olde Flavor atexts from the Wall of Wishes, specifically Wish 15.
Wish 15 (which remains undiscovered): This one you shall cherish.
Then there's the Wish Card from the Deck of Whispers, as well as Eris mentioning the Anthem Anatheme earlier in the season in regards to Mara's theories on how the Wish Dragons powers work. Furthermore, we have long bygone lore about the Ahamkara from the D1 Grimoire:
Think of how mysterious this system is, I said. How much life sprang up when the Traveler came. Like the Ahamkara. Do you know the legends? The dragon that made promises? And I pulled out the fossil with a flourish- -Ghost Fragment: Warlock
This particular quote seems to imply that the Ahamkara appeared shortly after the Traveler terraformed Venus. Perhaps granting them some unknown connection to the Traveler? We still have 3 more radio conversations still to go... Thoughts and theories, guys?

  • Why do people STILL not understand that the raid “The Last Wish” IS THE 15TH WISH??? In a string of numbers 1-15, what is the number 15 in relation to that string? The LAST number, right? So take a wish list and number the wishes 1-15. The 15th wish is what??? The LAST wish. What else is called “The Last Wish”???? Bingo.

    • Ignoring any leaks, there was bound to be something to do with Ahamkara and wishes the moment the last card in the Arcana deck was revealed to be "Wish". It is even in the Season Trailer. I had ideas about how the "Wish" might play into the Season's ending, but one thing I honestly didn't expect as a resolution was Eris Morn banishing Xivu Arath from her Throne World and giving up all her power as a result, leaving the Imbaru Engine up in the air. As for entering the Traveler, I have thought it could be tied to the Witness' ability "to move worlds from one reality to another". That such a power would be needed to safely traverse the portal from our reality to the Pale Heart. That said, the ongoing relevance of the Worms this year, and the near-guaranteed significance of the Ahamkara next season, makes me wonder if there are ties to how the Witness itself was able to enter the Pale Heart of the Traveler. One could assume the Witness just had the raw power necessary to make the journey on his own, but we did learn this Season that the bargain Eris made with Ahsa is the same as one the Witness made with the Worm Gods eons ago. The Worm Gods and the Ahamkara share a common ability: feeding on the gradient between what is and what might be. If an Ahamkara Wish is indeed necessary to enter the Traveler, then the same could be said of the Worm Gods. The Witness might have sought out a bargain with the Worms to allow itself the means to pass through the portal when the time came. As far as the Ahamkara having a connection to the Traveler, it is possible they've followed the Traveler across the cosmos to feed upon the changes it makes to reality since terraforming dead and inhospitable worlds into verdant paradise with the Light fits the definition of changing reality with one's will. There is also The Hidden Dossier to consider. Ikora discusses the true nature of "Truth to Power", and it is one of the clearest contenders for what Savathun might have meant when she said she already showed us how to enter the portal. The Ahamkara are brought up there as well, with Ikora mentioning how they want to become "more real", and that the Anathematic Arc is a means for them to reach a place they consider "more real". If the Pale Heart does turn out to be a "parent universe" to the Destiny setting, then the means to reach it could be tied both to a power to move from one reality to another and to the Ahamkara and Worm Gods' ability to derive sustenance from what is and what might be.
Unfortunately its already been leaked that we use a wish to enter the Traveler.
Also ignore the toxic commentary.. some of these folks clearly weren't raised correctly. Great post!

Ooohhhh, Shades! This really doesn’t take a genius to figure out. In fact, it takes about as much intelligence as the average Bungo-lover has! This week, we got a wacky woozy card that’s called “The Wish”, suddenly every voice line in the seasonal slog activities mentions Ahamkara crap directly or tangentially, and Mara’s still got that plot device egg from before. Gee whiz! You’re asking for thoughts and theories when what’s gonna happen was practically spoon-fed to you??? HAHAHAH! Typical! Oh, and let’s not forget… (click at your own risk)
Even if it wasn’t already leaked, c’mon… It’s so damn obvious! It’s like they’re practically insulting our intelligence! Oh, wait… HAHAHAH!
So anyway, here’s my “theory”! Season of the Bad Dragon!!! Mara’s getting around to hatching the Ahamkara egg! But, oh no!!!! She’s gonna need your help!! Go attack the Taken and Scorn in the Dreaming City to steal their MacGuffin Slivers for her Techeuns to snort up! Then, when it’s time for the asspull hatching ritual that Mara and her witches need to do, you’re gonna need to stop all the Taken and Scorn trying to crack that thing open to cook up the universe’s most pAraCaUsaL omelet, all while Mara sits on the egg to keep it warm! Get ready to slog for either more Awoken-themed or Ahamkara-themed loot that looks completely out of place that you’ll undoubtedly turn into more Legendary Shards!! Upgrade the Ahamkara Skull-on-a-Stick seasonal artifact to slog even more! Tear up at another haphazard dragged-out story till it reaches yet another unsatisfying waaacky conclusion that you as the player already knew was gonna happen! Story beats so nonsensical that it’ll make you question why the hell you even bought the Final Shame! In short, if there’s anyone that ISN’T getting all these extremely blatant Ahamkara mentions, I struggle to imagine if they’re even capable of walking properly! Much less thinking properly! HAHAHAH!

          • You put roughly 100 times the effort and thought into this post as BungLe did into this seasons story.

          • This season is so boring, I'm weeks behind and I couldn't care less ... Bungie has lost the ability to tell a compelling story.

So... 😉 now you're excited, thought it was the most braindead route Bungie could take? "My sister feels her worms gnawing hunger, gnawing away at her for running away from us. She had to keep testing her strength if she didn't want to be eaten alive... and she has no one left to love. Now you see: I needed my Worm exorcised so I could tell you the truth. And didn't I hold up my end of the bargain. I knew you could do it. You've done so many impossible things... O murderer mine". In a response to another comment, you say you're a fan of the Awoken character arcs & I assume are aware of many of their cultural conventions like: how they talk to each other. "sister"... you've heard Mara & Petra us that language... Techeuns & Corsairs use that language. In the above quote, who do you think Savathun is talking about? Ahsa... whom is a cursed Alis Li... 1st Queen of the Awoken... rival of the Sovs; both Mara and her mother Osana. Riven never ran away... her story is still relevant though. And could there BE ANY CLEARER of a confirmation of our role since vanilla D1, "...O murderer mine". "Do you know the legends"? Do you still think I was just pulling my theories from nowhere? Still? It's all the same event. Of course, the Ahamkara appeared shortly after the Traveler terraformed Venus. The Pale Heart is the singularity... the Traveler encompasses it. Time dilates based on gravity... that's what accounts for the seemingly different timelines in the lore when comparing the emergence of different factions/phenomenon. However, the distributary... the fundament... the Ahamkara... the Nine... the Awoken... the Hive came from the same event. I first called your attention to info... how good is your memory? 1st by talking not just about my theories, but I gave you my nickname. It's "Ghost" 😇👍💠 2nd by calling attention to the old D1 Legends Grimoire. My theory remains the same... Mara is corrupt.

            • I was thinking the same thing that we are going to the dreaming city, but I also believe that we are going to savathun's throne world cause the hive guardians have a heirloom that we need to get back because I believe it belongs to Mara.

                • I'm guessing nothing comes of it any time soon. I highly doubt our key into the traveler is an Ahamkara given the context from Savathun recently, but who knows. They'll probably bring Riven back. Gotta love reused assets.
