What is the point of Competitive if rando teammates just quit on you?
Started four games of competitive tonight. Only one of them actually went the full time with 4v4.
Seriously, why should I bother trying to play competitive Crucible when It's 4-3, or 4-2 in a matter of 30 seconds, and the opposing team just keeps dunking on me? What is my stake in a game that I'm inevitably going to lose, and why should I give a damn about it?
Why can't you either make it seriously punitive to quit (oh noes, 30 minutes of being locked out for quitting, that and a dollar buys me a pack of gum, what a hardship!), or add some kind of buff to the team at a numeric disadvantage, e.g., if you're down a player, your damage to enemies gets buffed 25%, or your damage resistance gets buffed by the ratio of opponents to friendlies?
Make it reasonable for teams down one or more players to do anything but get the s*** kicked out of them. I don't mind losing a fair fight, but it's infuriating to have to waste my time taking the inevitable loss. Level the playing field, or stop forcing us to believe that having flaky teammates makes PvP anything but an abject waste of time. I HATE wasting my gaming time.
