1-- CBOAT, who is a very reliable industry insider and leaker, has said it is timed.
2-- It will sell poorly on the Xbone. Squeenix already complained about the sales of the 2013 reboot not being as high as they wanted even though it was sold on 5 different platforms.
3-- The 2013 reboot sold better on the Ps3 and Ps4 than it did on the 360 and Xbone.
4-- It makes no sense from a business standpoint. Cutting off more than half of your fanbase and sales is highly illogical
5-- Microsoft has a track record of having "exclusives".
6-- Phil Spencer has confirmed to Eurogamer that Microsoft's exclusivity deal for Rise of the Tomb Raider "has a duration"
7-- Squeenix obviously don't want to kill of a newly rebooted franchise, which is what would happen if it was a permanent Xbox One exclusive/
That will be all.

They should have rebooted MechAssault.

Only one of those reasons was required to prove your point. Shit thread.

Edited by BerzerkCommando: 8/14/2014 12:37:47 AMDamn. This is the fastest exclusive game that MS had so far that went to other systems. It hasn't even been released and it's already going to other systems.
-
I'm so tired of people still talking about this......
-
Phil Spencer already commented on this. It's definitely a timed exclusive.
-
Edited by Tyger: 8/13/2014 1:29:59 PMDon't forget the game informer employee (Andy McNamara) tweeting they were told it was timed And there was a second neogaf leaker who's got a better track record than cboat, shinobi602
-
I shouldn't have to tell you people this.
-
Ign confirmed that it is timed
-
Timed or not, I'm tired of Square Enix hopping aboard the times exclusive train as far as TR goes. I won't be getting it for that reason alone, and will for sure buy all their games used if I even do purchased them.

Edited by Merdok: 8/13/2014 6:32:16 PMOf all the games they could of got for a timed exclusive...

Cutting off more than half of your fanbase and sales is highly illogical
Yeah it would be suicide for the franchise to go full exclusive rather than timed. Timed makes sense for them, because they get a payoff from MS, and they avoid the face-off with Uncharted 4, which the latter would win by a landslide.

let's hope so

Edited by nao: 8/13/2014 1:34:36 PM
Xbox boss Phil Spencer has confirmed to Eurogamer that Microsoft's controversial exclusivity deal for Rise of the Tomb Raider "has a duration".
Holiday 2015 exclusivity. hmm wonder what they're trying to avoid.
-
If it makes you feel better at night then yea it's a timed exclusive.
-
Edited by sims3k: 8/13/2014 1:27:35 PMTheres no doubt that its a timed exclusive. The question is how long, and what platforms will it come to eventually. Im guessing at least a year timed exclusive, and after that it will definitely come to PC. Maybe it will come to Playstation... maybe. I doubt microsofts in the market to pay hundreds of millions to secure a franchise for one year. People thought Titanfall would come to sony consoles and it didnt.
-
MS can keep that shit. They need all the help they can get lol.
-
Well duh....right from the get-go anyone with a brain knew they couldn't hold the act for long. It's a business, and Microsoft, alone can not hold all the chips. *sips tea*
