Borderlands, Destiny, Halo - Which Has The Best Robot Companion?
There is the last CL4P-TP unit, ClapTrap. The last of his kind, and easily the funniest character ever. Oh, did I say funny? I meant annoying. And funny.
Then there is Ghost, the timid insecure manifestation of the Traveler's dying light. He's also annoying... But at least he doesn't make ridiculous humor every other sentence.
And finally Cortana, the Smart AI, and all you Halo fanboys out there are clicking on that for her boobs. You know you are.
And that's it! Let's see which game pulls off the robot sidekick better.
Personally... I like ClapTrap. Long live the New Robot Revolution!!!
EDIT: Cortana IS a robot, so stop saying she isn't. Cortana isn't just some mystical blue haze, she's a programmed personality capable of performing complex tasks. An artificial intelligence. Either on Chief's spartan suit, or the program is broadcasted from miles away from a server in a room, Cortana has a physical embodiment. For those of you who don't know, a robot doesn't have to be a machine that moves about on its own, its a machine that is "capable of performing complex tasks" much like the computer your sitting at right now. Cortana is a box with extreme hardware and some fancy lights that project a hologram that is the shape we know as Cortana. She's a robot.

Being completely technical an AI does not equal a robot, but I only bring that up because you did. I vote for Clap. He keeps me laughing and was playable.

Claptrap for humor, cortana for serious story. Ghost tries to be a mixture of both without being that great at either. Although imo they improved him in ttk

As Cortana is not a robot (artificial intelligence isn't a robot, especially one that uses a non-physical manifestation), I'd say Casper, the friendly Ghost. Yes I did just do that. No I am not sorry.

Cortana exists anywhere as she can access slip space. She partially existed there across the vast majority of the Halo lore. She keeps a portion of herself in a physical containment unit to interact with non-slip space reality.

The other two are funny in their own way, of course, but Claptrap is a character made [b]specifically[/b] for the humor. He's always more enjoyable in that sense. That said, I understand how people can find him annoying lol. Edit: My favorite is Cortana, however. Mainly due to story reasons.
