NOTE: This is an entirely theoretical post, before some of you call it OP and demand I nerf it, just know I haven't even posted how much damage any of the abilities do due to this posts conceptual nature.
This is an idea for the creation of a Fallen themed class for our Guardians. The class is only selectable if you choose your Race as Eliksni (Fallen), while also being the only available class to Eliksni.
I was thinking the name of the new class would be either Risen, or Redeemed. (Whereas the enemy Eliksni's are still known as Fallen)
Their class items would be called Capes. They'd be stylistic similar to Hunter cloaks, but minus the hood. Due to Eliksni having four arms, their extra arms will be part of their hit box, unless they have the Docked perk (see below) equipped. To account for their larger hit box, they will have slightly more base health.

EDIT: some minor balancing changes are on its way. Please check back later if you'd like. If there's anything you think should change, don't be afraid to point it out.
PRIVATEER EDIT: decreased starting amount of shots for Scorch Cannon from 5 to 3. Added a note regarding the lack of bonus armor while super is active.

I have been thinking about this with my bro for a long time but never bothered to post. ONly thing I would change is super, its super is pretty much a nerfed golden gun.
-
I had a similar idea a while back (can't find the post though), I might dig it out tomorrow. The premise was that a ghost had some sort of glitch in it's programming which still treated the Eliksni as a race of the Light and so it searched out and eventually found an Eliksni who could be revived as a Guardian. Naturally this Eliksni happened to be a Dreg. The standard start storyline is little different than that of any other race of Guardian, maybe with a slightly different first introduction to the Tower. As you progress through your overarching class quest you deal with various Tower and Reef vendors - your "Vanguard" equivalent being Variks - who ends your quest by granting you your 3rd and 4th arms. I think an excellent super for a fallen would be "Ether Overcharge" where you GROW to Riksis size and hit 300% health... While Overcharged you can use all your weapons as normal and gain instant melee recharge but with a slowed "stomp" melee animation that has the same reach as a warlock melee but in a circle. So you have a choice of using the health boost and your normal weapons and staying big for longer (but a bigger target) or burning through your ether faster with repeated melees. Deploying the super in an area that has ceilings too low for you to stand kills you instantly. Movement speed is slowed while big.

Shock Katanas=Arc Blade.... :l

*Slowly Claps faster and faster* This...This is just so good *Stands Up* Thank god your mind is thinking in these dark times!
-
Would be amazing But bungie won't put anything that's actually entertaining in
-
Do you work for bungie ? . This is too good to be true. And too precise
-
I love this idea and would love to play as a Fallen Guardian ! Please bungie lol
-
The only downside is how are the Fallen going to reverse the dark corruption that has hit them?
-
-
Yes Yes Yes
-
Well variks i bet is the kell of kells from the prophecy If he reforms the house of judgement and masses fallen and creates a guardian-fallen alliance we might see a class of fallen or race in destiny 2 the shattered suns I think one of them should be kell or something
-
this can be applied in a advanced time of the game. like right now, we actually butchered the house of wolves, no leader at all. so soke may join guardians cause. (backstory could be that) in the future if there will be a raid against cabal emperor, you can do the same with them. hive and vex, no way. wouldnt make any sense anyway
-
Awesome idea. Bungie take note and don't change a fooking thing!!
-
Only skimmed it, but these all seem like pretty solid ideas. One idea I did have, though: all current Special weapons (with the exception of Lord of Wolves, Queenbreakers' Bow, and Dreg's Promise) would be exclusive to Guardians (the three I mentioned would be uniquely universal), and Risen/Eliksni instead get a new line-up of three new weapon classes based on the Elder Cipher weapons. I dunno, I think that'd be pretty neat.
-
Wish this was added reminds me of Mass effect multiplayer which had epic classes and guns :)

This is a lot closer to 500 replies than I thought.

Can there be a Light infused Vex and Cabal class as well to round things out? Since these fallen subclasses are sort of like mirrors to the Hunter subclasses then the Vex could be inspired by Warlocks and Cabal by Titans. Maybe Osiris learns how to reprogram a group of Vex and replace the Darkness in them with consciousness and light, creating a new race/class of Reborn Vex. There could be a Solar subclass that was a mix of Sunsinger and Hobgoblin abilities, another that was a mix of Voidwalkers and Minotaurs, and then a Stormcaller/Harpy combo. And maybe a faction of Cabal goes AWOL and stops fighting for the Empire after the events of Taken King, the Rebel Cabal could start manifesting light powers in their own attempt to survive the Darkness without the aid of their army. The supers would go something like a Phalanx/Defender hybrid for Void, a Colossus/Sunbreaker combo for Solar, and a Psion/Striker for the arc.

Should just change the sidearm one. Other than that it looks good.
-
Very well done! I couldn't have done better myself.

Modifié par FOEHAMMER51 : 11/11/2015 3:34:47 AMShould have a super where it puts up a mine that kills all enemies within 15 seconds (like PoE but shorter fuse and not quite a much range). Another super that deploys multiple suicide shanks.
