Dirt Rally has got to be the most difficult racing sim ever released. You thought DS was punishing. Dirt Rally will have you doing about a 100 restarts on one stage before saying fook it, I'll take that 2nd/3rd placed split time.
Putting in some good times on Wales rally, is the equivalent of beating Ninga Gaiden on master ninga.
It's also really satisfying when you do eventually put in some good times, feels more rewarding than other racing game.
Graphics are gorgeous, all running at a silky smooth 60fps. It has a car levelling system, that will upgrade the more time you put in with each vehicle. Hiring engineers can tune your car for better times.
You earn cash from winning championships, that can be spent on new cars/engineers contracts, or perks.
Highly recommend this game for anyone who has got bored of recent racing games, due to all the spoon fed titles that hold your hand.
Dirt Rally is awesome, a throwback to the old Colin McRae games. Codemasters once again, show is why they're still the best at developing racing sims. 9/10

I'm not having that hard of a time with it so far. I won the first two championships, and the first one I actually whiffed out on one of the races after my car was deemed unrecoverable and I was disqualified. RWD is a bit of a bitch, but FWD and AWD are cake. bitter, murderous, cake lol. I have been chomping at the bit to get ahold of this and I couldn't be happier that there are no rewinds, mini maps, and/or racing lines. Just the cold hard truth of people's lack of skill. Those German tracks. My god I'm in love with the curves.
