Hey, community. We're currently investigating FPS issues on PC.
UPDATES
June 22, 2021
Last night, AMD released Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.6.1 that fixes some Radeon Graphics products that were experiencing lower than expected performance in Destiny 2.
AMD users may want to change their Settings > Preferred Software Version to Recommended + Optional for future updates.

June 3, 2021
In our TWaB blog post, we acknowledged that we made some major engine changes with the launch of Beyond Light - while working from home. Due to the pandemic, we haven't had access to our PC compatibility lab to do in-depth testing.
We've been making improvements with each release even though they aren't called out in patch notes, and we're working with our partners to help address these issues and are optimistic about the future.

January 29, 2021
We have looked over the data post 3.0.2 launch:
-- High-end users saw big improvements: we're about halfway back to pre-Beyond Light perf.
-- Mid-range systems didn't see much improvement.
-- Low-end and laptops didn't see much improvement.
We're continuing to investigate and look for solutions toward better performance.
January 19, 2021
We released Update 3.0.2 that optimized Lighting on PC GPUs to help increase performance.
-- Many folks have mentioned turning off the Shader Cache in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Does this help with performance?

December 14, 2020
We believe we found a few issues related to light probes that have led to GPU performance degradation. We're still investigating and hope to have a resolution in January.

Please use this thread to help us track down what is causing the issue by:
1. Posting when and where you are having FPS issues in the game
2. Quitting out of all open apps and browsers while playing to see if there are any improvements
3. Posting your PC specs with your DxDiag by following the instructions in the spoiler tag

• Press (Windows Key + R) to bring up the Run dialog box, enter this command “dxdiag” without quotation marks.
• Click on “Save all information”.

I'm having the same issue, except that started happening all of a sudden. I have 1k plus hours on the game and up until last week I was able to have 40 - 50 fps on medium settings. Now the game no matter where I'm, even in orbit, it goes 9 - 12 fps. Yesterday went back to the usual 40 - 50, even played some crucible and it was smooth. Now its back to the 9 - 12 fps. This is very annoying. Here is the link to the Dx Diag https://pastebin.com/K58KnbLt Specs: Win10 64bit Ryzen 5 2400G 3.2 AMD Rx560 4GB 16GB RAM

Massive performance downgrade from when I last played. used to be 60 fps in tangled shore and moon, but now it seems that everwhere but the Tangle Shore for me is way below par. All i care for is consistent 60 fps and i can't get that. Intel i78700 RTX 2080 16gb This is the only game with these issues, been playing Back 4 Blood with consistent 120 fps, For honor with capped @ 180-190 consistent and Splitgate consistent 144.
-
Massive FPS drops in public areas...drops from 144 to 30-20fps. Practically unplayable at times. Especially bad in Blinding Well and Altars of Sorrow. Ryzen 5800x RTX 3090 Asus Tuf OC Asus Tuf x570 pro 32gb Corsair Vengeance 3600mhz Max settings, vsync off and fps cap set to 144 @ 1440p. Destiny 2 is the only title I'm having this issue with. All other games run flawlessly even with ray tracing turned on.

So no fix yet i am assuming?

bungie if you check my last thread i made a record of all the bugs i found when playing and keep adding to the list. i had to create a separate post for it because there are just too many issues to post each individual thread for all of them. when i downloaded the game in new light it played great at 4k resolution with every update the performance degraded now i can barely play anything without it freezing or skipping or glitching even when i switched to 1080p it still freezes also i have been having an issue with my mouse and keyboard not responding randomly in game which i also described in that post.. again it didnt happen in new light and gradually became worse with every update it started on europa with the release of beyond light adn now happens on every location including gambit and crucible it seems like bungie just ignores most of complaints and pretends that they dont exist.. maybe when people stop buying the game you pay more attention to those complaints because most people will just leave if the issues are not fixed they wont complain like we do they will just find a new game to play

Modifié par Noobie Noobcakes : 7/27/2021 8:02:15 PMEither this gets repaired ASAP, or you give me a full -blam!-ing refund, but one way or another, this -blam!-ing bullshit is getting resolved. this is COMPLETE AND TOTAL RIP-OFF I EXPECT A PRODUCT I -blam!-ING PAY FULL PRICE FOR TO -blam!-ING WORK Worthless turd of a game from worthless scumbag company, I should never have put a penny into this broken piece of shit. GreenLight asset-flippers on Steam had more integrity than Bungie. E: I have just tried a half-dozen times to move the game past the first FMV cutscene in Forsaken. You wanna guess what -blam!-ing happens every -blam!-ing time?

Modifié par Monarchy : 7/27/2021 1:30:33 AMPC: 5900X 32GB of RAM 3600hz CL16 3080 ti Evga 1000W PSU Why on Gods green earth do i only get 100-120 on max settings, with shadows on lowest, no motion blur on 1080. The optimization is awful for what ever reason. PS I was getting 185-200+ a week or so ago
-
Modifié par Noobie Noobcakes : 7/25/2021 3:34:58 AMIs the FMV cinematic bug fixed as of 22 July hot-patch, or not? Or are the Bungoids just going to ignore it extra-hard? No, apparently it's not unique to Win7 machines either, so "HeRr-DuRR y U nO uPDaTe???" isn't good enough. (I know I'll have to eventually when it's time to God-beastify my current rig, but I'm in no big hurry. Serious privacy concerns re-- Win10 is what's kept me away, but that's a whole 'nother thread....)

Thought I'd check to see if other people with Nvidia graphics cards are still seeing random frame drops. Myself and a few others in my clan are still seeing drops of 20-25 frames at random, sometimes in firefights and other times in areas where nothing is happening (like waiting for people to be ready for a raid encounter). These drops usually last for about a second then is back to normal. And sometimes don't happen for days regardless of what content you're doing then come back again. May not seem like much if you're on a upper-end rig, but when you're capped at 60fps going down to 35-45 fps for an instant is pretty jarring. (And yes, been in this thread since the beginning so I've checked the steps people have suggested several times but still get this even with graphics settings turned down to the lowest levels)

I've had zero issues with performance in D2 until recently. I've been running the game on maxed settings, at 1440p, 144hz, no problem at all. Work has been hectic the last 2 weeks or so, and I haven't played D2 since then. I started playing this past Friday again, and noticed I started having some rather significant perf hits (drops of 30-50fps). The worst drops are in places like override. My system is a monster, and there's really no reason I should be having perf issues of any kind. CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x GPU: ASUS TUF 3080 Gaming OC Memory: 32GB Corsair Dominator RGB 3600mhz Drive: Sabrent Rocket PCIe Gen4 NVMe 1TB Mobo: ASUS Strix X570-E Gaming All system drivers were updated 2 months ago, with the exception of the GPU drivers, which I updated a few days ago (driver version 471.11). I also noticed issues with D2, where I get what looks/feels like screen tearing even at 144fps locked, both with and without vsync/fps lock or even gsync enabled. Again, none of this was happening several weeks ago. I'm kind of at a loss here. It's definitely noticeable ingame, especially during Override. Dropping from 144fps down to 90fps feels really awful, comparable to dropping from 60fps to 30fps on a 60hz display.

its not for specific amd problem is all pc problem get it done plz will you?

Specs: Ryzen 5 3500 Rtx 2060 16gb 3200 mhz ram I feel like I should be getting more fps on the lowest settings My fps avg is around 90 on the lowest settings with dips into 60-70 while in the vault of glass I recently just built this pc after being on a 1050ti for 3 years so I really wanna get the max fps i can out of my rig because this should not be happening

Modifié par Lixteris : 7/10/2021 9:53:23 AMWe magically fixed our stuttering, 5 FPS mess with 105 FOV, Borderless Fullscreen and everything set to ultra quality. Last night we were able to play PVP again with stable 160 FPS at 1440p with my friends. We have RX 6800 XT, Ryzen 9 3900X. Newest AMD drivers.

As for AMD cards, it seems to be resolved after version driver version 21.6.1. Entangled and other low fps areas are fine now, just like before new dlc. Thank you.
-
You guys changed something with season of splicer. Was having bad fps after beyond light, then you did a lighting patch and it fixed it. Was back to good fps for season of the chosen, then you released season of the splicer, and fps went back to beyond light problems. Did you guys revert the lighting patch? I think you did. Modifié par Scrunge : 7/7/2021 1:04:10 PMIf you had like 1 FPS in pvp like me: idk what did it but i updated amd drivers to 2.6.1. (newest) didn't work. I resetted shader cache didn't work. I changed CVAR smth latency to 0, loaded into some pvp maps while it stuttered to make sure the shaders preloaded in and after that I had no issues (regarding stutter) whatsoever. You can be the judge of what actually worked :D

UPDATE 3.2.1 If the new update from this week, scroll down all the way in the patch notes and it states PC performance optimizations for AMD RX series GPUs. Anybody see an increase in performance from this update?
-
The pre-rendered/full cinematic cut-scenes stutter along at like 2 frames/second (if even that) until I get kicked back to the Director --Rarely, it'll "accept" my hammering on the [ESC] key and skip the cut-scene, but most of the time it doesn't, so I'm stuck at just before whatever plot-point the movie comes in at, and can't proceed further. All of the current expansions --from the start of the new player tutorial part all the way through to Beyond Light do this. Regular game-play and in-engine cut scenes go just fine. I've tried all the fixes listed that are available to me, and nothing works. Is there any way to just disable these stupid movies so I can actually play the Legendary edition I just -blam!-ing paid for, or do I get this turd refunded whilst I've still got time? Specs: Steam version, PC Legendary Edition Win7, 64-bit Service Pack 1 Intel i7-3770k @ 3.5Ghz 16 Gig's RAM NVidia GEForce GTX 1070, 8 Gig's Video memory (my game settings run around 2 - 3) I even went with GEForce Experience's "recommended" potato-mode/Commodore 64 settings, and this made no difference. Modifié par Dark Nexus[CST] : 7/3/2021 10:04:52 PMSo....I found something for Radeon GPUs. Go into the Adrenalin software. Go to Gaming -> Destiny 2. TURN OFF Radeon Anti-Lag. Fixed every stutter for me. You cannot have it turned on while you have HDR on(If you have an HDR monitor and play with HDR on). You can either have HDR on, or you can have Radeon Anti-Lag on. Not both. I tested it multiple times, with both being turned off as a baseline, with FreeSync on. Here are my results at 3440x1440: Both off: ~125 average FPS, no stutters/significant frame drops. ~FreeSync On Anti-Lag on, HDR off: ~122 average FPS, no stutters/significant frame drops. ~FreeSync On HDR on, Anti-Lag off: ~110 average FPS, no stutters/significant frame drops. ~FreeSync On HDR & Anti-Lag on: ~45 average FPS, massive stutters/freezes/dips to 1 FPS every time I make an input. EDIT: My specs AMD Ryzen 7 3800 XT Running at 4.5 GHz G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3800 RAM @ 3800 MHz ASUS TUF X570 mobo ASRock Phantom Gaming RX 6900 XT OC Edition - running at 2500 MHz(Stable Overclock, tested on 3DMark TimeSpy for 6 straight hours).

Sooooo we ever gonna get a good performance update for amd cards cause its still terrible cant even hit 144 fps in any activity even at 1080p
-
Can someone please confirm that it works now? I removed my AMD 6900 XT graphics card and played with the old one (Nvidia). It is a lot of work now to rebuild everything just to find out that it is maybe a few percent better than before.
-
Still getting around 30-60% gpu utilization with a rx6800 and getting around 100fps on overide in 1080p high settings with 2.6.1 amd drivers. Thiss issue still has not been fixed.
