You’re telling me Mithrax turned Nezerac, former disciple of the witness, into a tea? Which is given to Osiris? And wakes him up and spews information we’ve had for months now?
Oh nice 👍

Sounds like I chose a great season to stop playing. Bungie is ran by some weirdos
-
As a gay man, I nearly rolled my eyes out of my head… such a bad and irrelevant cutscene.
-
Yeah.... it was in drawings it's gotta be true!

What’s sad is that it coulda been cool. Imagine the season’s general premise stays the same, collecting the parts of Nezerac, but the context is different. Imagine Eramis is awakened by the witness, who promises to return the Fallen to the status they were before the whirlwind as long as she succeeds. Obviously Mithrax and the guardians can’t allow this, so they try and stop her. As the season continues, we (the player) acquire the parts, but these are tainted by memories of the past showing us little bits of the collapse, and how humanity fell so quickly, but also perhaps a small weakness to the witness and their disciples. Throughout the season Mithrax struggles with the thought of returning the Eliksni back to their former glory with Eramis, but he believes in his guardian allies and Eido who argue the witness would never make good on their deal. The season could culminate in the final mission where we engage Eramis for the final piece of Nezerac, his eyes. During this mission, Mithrax hesitates before destroying the eyes, and when he touches them he sees the final memory, not of the collapse but the whirlwind. He learns the creature he and Eramis have been gathering was the one that led the downfall of his race, and with Eramis pleading with him, describing how powerful the fallen could become he makes his decision destroying the final part ensuring he never returns. He accepts that the fallen may not ever be what they once were, but that they could move on from the past, rebuild, and not suffer in the shadow of what they were. Reaffirming the house of lights commitment to the guardian, and finishing his arc.

Let's just put this here : our character seems to have less and less impact on the story whatsoever! We just get to watch things happen, we are not a part of them at all! We get to be errand boys and nothing else. Everything that matters happens in cutscenes, we are insignificant 99%. Why are we even playing? Who are we in this universe, why are we even there? Just bystanders?
-
So basically the entire plot of this season was to gather the last cans of Folgers Dark Roast Coffee and brew a special powerful cup to wake Osiris. Then as a final farewell to the season the community raises an amount equal to the GDP of Texas in a week and all they could manage was some stairs, a few planters of corn, some barstools, and 4 benches and some flag decorations. Time well spent.

Why did we never get a Lord Shaxx and Mara Sov cutscene where the helmet came off.
-
I was laughing really hard after I watched the cut scene. There was a ton of information crammed into a single cut scene. I have so many questions here. How did Mithrax know to make a tea and how did he connect it to Osiris and healing him? There's just a ton of gray areas here that could have been addressed next season prior to Lightfall. I would have wanted to see what Osiris saw and not just hear about it. So many missed opportunities here. And the people who are disappointed are making it all about Osiris and Saint-14. I get that it's a love story but having cut out all the stories in between just made it look forced and simply distasteful. It's not even an issue of being woke. It's simply the issue of REALLY BAD and lazy story telling.
-
Can you even imagine the original designers of this game putting out something like this? Kind of shows you how far Destiny has gone off track.
-
I literally only posted separately that and I quote “Bungie might have cemented their demise with that cutscene” and they took it down saying the topic violated the code of conduct. I never specified why I felt that way. Well Bungie if you don’t want people talking about it then don’t put potential controversial stuff in the game. Bungie knew what they were doing. I guess they need to get their fascism on.
-
The cutscene seems like it was created by a 12 year old girl on Tumblr. I've seen better writing on P-Hub.
-
I thought season ofthe Drifter was bad......... Season of the Tea(Bag) is worse.
-
Cutscene left so many more questions than answers. How did Mithrax know brewing Nezarec would wake Osiris? How did that get cleared as an attempt? Was this the whole point of studing the relics, or was this just an incidental study? How did Savathun learn about Neptune? What could have scared her? But hey, at least that woke Bungo writer's fanfiction is now canon. The Light FORBID Saint and Osiris have remained as brothers as always implied in the lore, no they needed to be gay so this guy could feel special. All while Devrim languishes forgotten.

I know what's coming next. Zavala and Caitl banging like a screen door in the wind.
-
Osiris is grinding dat metal
-
A terrible ending, indeed.
-
Just an uninspired, ham-fisted way for bungie to try an explain Neptune and Osiris in Lightfall. Garbage writing. How in the world does bungie butcher a pirate season this bad?
-
You're telling me you didn't like Nezarec being turned into Nezcafé and an espresso curing Osiris's depresso?
-
So, Osiris had No Ghost what about bringing Cayde back that would have been a boost to the game. My thoughts now that you did that.
-
The ending is basically telling you that the money you paid for the game is going to their new IP instead of improving Destiny.

Modifié par Dirty8Speciall : 11/29/2022 8:51:28 PMThe best part of waking up, is Darkness in your cup. I'm so glad I stopped playing and didn't have to see that as my closure for the season. Bungie won't be, but should be embarrassed by how poorly that worked narratively. We became space pirates to collect some stuff to make space tea. Is the real baddie the East India Company?
-
He turned the artefacts of Nezarac into a cup of Nezcafé. THIS was what we spent the last, what, four months of hunting for?
-
This season........sucked Can't change my mind. I wanted to like it, but after the first two weeks it was just more of the same.
-
Yikes.. I get back from my forum vacation courtesy of Ninja's who hate honesty, and this is what I find? Good thing I haven't been playing 🤡

Oh nice 👍
What do you mean boring?!!?? We got a gay robot!!! Now gay robots like myself can finally been seen!!!!! I don't care about the lack of creativity or direction of the game, gay robot!!!!!!

That was the most forced, bs, unsatisfying ending I've seen in Destiny since OG D1 "ending" plus the "reveal" feels like social narrative shoved down our throat. What the hell was this? What did Misraaks dicover? What were those whispers? What is primal Darkness? How did he distilled pure darkness into f*cking tea? There better be good f*cking explanations this upcoming season...
