Fix Delayed Damage Registration on Bows (PvP)
Bows have been seriously broken all season and I don't think I've seen anything in the TWAB about fixing them. It takes half a second for the damage to register, so I'm just guessing whether their shot landed or not. Wishender is definitely the main offender, but I've also seen this behavior on LeMonarque and Raconteur.
It looks like they missed, I go to re-peek, their damage from the first shot registers when I'm out of cover, and I'm screwed. Combine that with the very generous hit boxes on bows and there are situations where you see the arrow "stream" miss wide on either side and then, boom, you still take damage half a sec later. It's already hard enough to fight a good bow user without this guess-work added in.

I’ve experienced this with wish keeper it’ll take a second on top of the travel time for dmg to register.

Bows aren't hitscan are they? Maybe you're seeing the travel time of the arrow?

I rarely PvP, but when I do you know it's Wish-Ender all the way! Being on the other side of this, I find it amusing. From my perspective the shot is true and on target, but it still takes a tick for the damage to register. I assumed this was because of the Broadhead perk - it damages opponents on entry and exit. Broadhead doesn't have issues in PvE, but thought it may be something to do with the game trying to calculate damage to guardians shields AND the guardian themselves, causing a delayed response. Maybe the P2P component creating a situation where both players renditions of the game have to confirm impact and calculated damage, and if one has a delay (due to latency) it causes issues (?), with one registering it as a miss until the other overrules and you get the delayed death.

Nothing worse than 2 team mates on a big map, one with a bow the other with a scout and they just sit back and crouch and lay down fire. It’s the most frustrating thing trying to close gaps when bows have got unlimited ammo. Give them 10 shots and bricks give them 5. Only in PvP ✌️
