Upon reaching the section where you need to unlock the door to the submind using refractor cores to shoot the hive runes, the runes broke immediately upon entering the room and the large door opened up, spawning a few enemies, but the smaller door to the final boss room was locked. Upon waiting several minutes, nothing changed. When teammates left, nothing changed.
