Make PVP great again
You have diluted pvp down to boring team shot meta with horrible lobby balancing. It used to be so good at its best. Before stasis it was good, around 30th anniversary it was good. This current handholding is just bad.
Most of all, bring back freelance.

When you are fighting 3 or more and can’t make a play that’s what gets us here complaining…

2 commentaires30th anniversary was considered one of the better metas. Hard to make that again with 3.0 subclasses. Probably need separation of sandboxes. But they never will.

Most of all, bring back freelance.[/quote] Bungie PvP hasn’t been good since Halo 3, Reach, and 4. All offer better gameplay and Forge as the community makes way better maps than Bungie.

I haven’t really PvPd much in the last year or two. Came back this season with more intent to play and had a lot of fun. I usually poop post here but I’ll admit…had some fun this IB.

BUNGIE, hire a dedicated pvp team please. and stop giving hunters all the lingering abilities. swarm, smoke and spectar is ridiculous. or buff titans and warlocks. give the synthoceps back! how can you nerf synthoceps but hunters have a spectar thats a dodge, prox mine, barricade, threadlings, aim tracker, and radar ping at once!? that’s 6 abilities for 1… 6! ping and aim arent even neccasary in pve. at least add those to the titan barricade or rift. i bet you can measure how crap pvp is just by players backing out! Post that metric on your next tweet sometime.

2 commentairesThis game has a radar and high ttks and people wonder why it’s full of team shooting and ability spam. Maybe because you can’t flank or ambush. Getting the jump on people is basically impossible unless they have the awareness of a mushroom. So what’s left? Team shooting and ability spam. PvP in this game has always been a sad imitation of classic arena shooters.

A TTK that long will always make the gameplay slow, especially with radar, and teamshooting essential, as it has always been, not just since yesterday. Metas will always feel more oppressive than in like every other FPS, because the ease of use of everything in this game is so high, that it never feels like you died because of a skillful opponent, but rather his choice of loadout. Bungie will continue forcing people into it, because the PvE content meant for months would be dead after a week at best, if timegating wasnt a thing, so it needs this less repetitive alternative - an alternative Bungie unfortunately never really gave a -blam!- about as long as it increased people’s playtime. And because people need to have access to rewards, as long as they are necessary for PvE, Bungie will continue getting rid of the last trace of competitiveness for accessibility‘s sake. It is a dumpster fire since release and will stay a dumpster fire. If you want a competitive experience, literally everything else is better. I would go as far to say that the mobile game shooters I played a decade ago were better. I heard about plans for a PvP game from Bungie. I hope they realize that the connection of PvE and PvP is far from the only issue, that D2 PvP has, because otherwise, it will be the same garbage - a waste of great gunplay and movement.

You’ll realize this game has ALWAYS been a game where team shotting occurs. With the design of the game, you’ll never get away from that. Second, you’ll realize the problem is how matchmaking is set up currently. Bungie has brainwashed a good portion of the population to believe sbmm is how the game should progress. However, sbmm has ruined the playlists they get put into. Add on fireteam based matchmaking and you simply just add further restrictions on the total amount of players available to you to match with. This is why you play the same players every other game and you feel like the games are overly sweaty. The game modes that employ CBMM have hardly any complaints. There’s a reason why. Quality games, significantly less lag, can play with friends of all skill brackets, can use random non-meta weapons. The benefits of this system far outweigh the others. The only exception would be the Comp playlist.

100% True. PvP has never been the same since. The matchmaking went haywire. The meta got slim. Abilities/Supers got out of hand. The classes were far better balanced. Unfortunately there is no going back. It is exactly what THEY wanted.

When anybody says "Make _____ great again" what they mean is let's not do any of that stuff, because it never gets done. Not that I won't support this (even though I don't play PVP, mostly just laugh at the posts that constantly say the same thing they've been saying for 10 years now.) I'm just laughing at the title. 2 commentairesThe PvP community is getting smaller so the average gamer is finally playing with the sweat lords. I stopped blaming bungie for crucible ages ago the moment they brought back loose skill based matchmaking and said they are keeping it, was the reason why matches are getting worse. No point in getting better in pvp when there is someone who plays 24/7 and knows some crazy tech to ruin your day.
