For those of you who don't know, The Division is an upcoming Tom Clancy game. The game's main focus is Online Multiplayer, RPG Attributes, and an Open world to explore. It also has a story but not much has been released. It is being Developed by Massive Entertainment and Published by Ubisoft. It is due for a 2014 release.
Here is the basic premise of the background information:
A devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, The Division agents are trained to operate independently of command, as all else fails.
Fighting to prevent the fall of society, the agents will find themselves caught up in an epic conspiracy, forced to combat not only the effects of a manmade virus, but also the rising threat of those behind it. When everything collapses, your mission begins.
From what I caught in the Video, this game has been in development for Four years. And it has a steadily growing community. But I'm going to stop talking and let the video do it. It's mainly a recap of E3, along with some new info from Gamescom.
To break down the video.
0:00. 11 days before E3 presentation, excitement is in the air, as well as nervousness.
4:25.Fast forward to E3, the moment of truth awaits.
6:29. Next Gen companionship gaming.
8:18. Full Gameplay demo/trailer.
15:30.Brief announcement that the game will be receiving a full PC version.
16:40.Background information on the Universe.
This game means buisness, but there is also a Load of Pressure due to the fact it is a Tom Clancy game, who has recently died. This being said, if it meets the Target for release, it looks like a serious contender for GOTY.
So, with all of this Info now known, what do you guys think? Will The Division be a Hit?Or will it Flop?(Not talking sales wise necessarily.)
It is due to release on all Next Gen consoles(Except for WiiU) and PC.

Modifié par Orion : 3/7/2014 12:14:09 AMThe final game isn't going to look nearly as good as the gameplay we've already seen. It's all marketing bullshit, and you people are falling for it. Refer to video and Watchdogs. I'm not saying the game won't be good, it looks fun. Far Cry 3 was. I just don't like the idea of lying about graphics to up sales. False advertisement.
-
My first two thoughts: -Griefers. Griefers everywhere. -Holomaps. So everyone can see where you are. Other than that it will succeed but I'm not planning to buy it yet.
-
Let me know when they make an endwar sequel.
-
Feels just like Defiance did. :/
-
Ubisoft
And here lies the problem
-
I look forward to The Division because I have a feeling the story is gonna be interesting.
-
it wont look nearly as good as they show, that's all i'm going to say.
-
I don't like the way you shoot in thsi game, but I will probably buy it anyway.
-
It looks so freaking good 😍😍😍😍
-
It'll do very well on PC. Just a hunch...
-
My prediction is that it will succeed, but end up being pretty mediocre in terms of gameplay and story.
-
Wow looks EPIC now here's the hard part
Should I get it on master race PC or be with friends and play on Xbox one if I do get one unless of course it releases on 360
Modifié par Orion : 3/6/2014 3:06:14 AMI'll be surprised if the final game looks nearly as good or is as fun as the gameplay we saw. It was all scripted and next gen consoles could never handle those graphics. They're just not powerful enough. It's all marketing and lies. Ubisoft have done this before with games in the past. I'm interested to see how it turns out. And if done right it could be a great game.
-
It looks interesting, I just wish we knew more about it.
-
I hear that a 2014 release date is laughable for this game. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/the-division-s-2014-release-window-is-laughable-claims-ubisoft-source-report/1100-6416976/
-
The graphics are amazing and it's been put into development for 4 years, so I'm expecting it to succeed.
-
I have low expectations for it.
-
Where's the "need to see more option"?
-
This game is insane! That is all :)
-
When it succeeds it will blow everyone one away and make everything else look like CoD next to Destiny
-
Maybe it's because I don't really play games like Arma and DayZ, but I never really understood the hype for this game. Despite everyone's best efforts at trying to explain why it's going to be the most amazing thing ever, I'm just really not interested in it. Based on all the hype I'm seeing for it though, it's likely not going to have a sales problem.

Modifié par CND AAA Beef : 3/5/2014 8:40:55 PMIt's one of the few next gen games that actually looks next gen. Plus it's set in the Clancyverse. I really miss the days when Clancy games were juggernauts.

Modifié par Ukimoi : 3/5/2014 8:23:07 PM
It is due for a 2014 release.
I thought it was already pushed back into 2015? Oh well but personally this game is in my top 10 most wanted games and I think the Xbox One version could be the superior version if Microsoft puts to use their dedicated servers for the game.
