Anteater in Raids

For the past 6 months, Deep Stone Crypt, Vault of Glass, and some other raids have been dealing with the anteater error code during encounters with a high density of adds. During these encounters, when weapons like anarchy are used to spawn trap the doors to kill the enemies quicker, the error code will happen, causing the entire fireteam to be kicked from the activity. When trying to speedrun the raids, it is almost impossible to do these add-clearing encounters in their optimal way as it will result in the end of a run as well as the inability to complete the activity. We believe this is related to the XP gained from killing these adds quickly in relation to the weapons being used. Our team implores Bungie to address this issue so we may get back to doing what we love in the game.

  • been sent to orbit countless times on shuro chi, had to have the whole team wait 2 minutes at the first puzzle in order to actually complete the raid

  • After 2 hours trying to do a flawless dsc with my clan we got anteater error code on 3rd encounter. Killed all out motivation and we are yet to attempt it again. please fix!

  • A few days ago, I was excited to spend quality gaming time with my son for his birthday. Destiny 2 holds a special place in my heart, so I thought playing the Deep Stone Crypt raid together would be a perfect way to celebrate and perhaps plant the seed for a future Guardian to rise up. Unfortunately, as mentioned in the original post, we encountered a persistent issue where our entire raid team kept getting hit with the 'Anteater' error code repeatedly. It was incredibly frustrating for all of us, especially considering the occasion. Eventually, we had to reluctantly switch to a different game to salvage our gaming session and make the most of our time together. I sincerely hope this issue is addressed and resolved soon so we can finally beat the raid together.

  • This has plagued the game for over a year and has made speed running any add dense activity in any capacity essentially completely impossible unless you purposefully slowed yourself down. This isn't even just affecting speed running but the game and community as a whole, with so many memories of waiting at a flag unable to rally in an lfg raid due to the game still calculating the kills and XP gained from the previous encounter. I was anteatered in campaign missions and the new strike 4 times on launch day of final shape, and I know many people who dealt with the same issue. Fixing this bug with XP and kill counting seems like it will make this game so much more stable and result in like 4 bugs being fixed all at once. It would mean the world if you looked into this Bungie :)

  • Every time I do Last Wish now I'm forced to kill Kali twice: before the whole fireteam gets anteatered to orbit on Shuro and after.

  • This has been a problem since around dawning. It is very frustrating when I am trying to get my pinnacle or do a raid night with my friends and I get kicked to orbit because of an error code. Please look into this bungie.

  • My friends and I have been error coded by anteater and all returned to orbit at least 100 times during raids. This has caused many of my friends and people I know to either barely come on the game or quit entirely. This should have been fixed a long time ago and it’s embarrassing that it’s not.
