I must have played 50 games today, only 2 of them I started from the beginning, in one of them I even joined a match where my team was losing and I was the only one in my team????? what the? I mean seriously?
If I am lucky I will join a game that has barely started, but even then, its pretty annoying starting a game where your first few deaths are either by a super or heavy...
and I understand once every now and then but today is just impossible to start from the beginning...
PS: So after seeing some interesting responses I want to make sure you all understand. I know that the main reason why I am joining a lobby like this is because someone must have left at some stage. I am not here to judge why they did so, however, the main problem I see is when joining late (aside from the obvious lack of fun) is that I can't complete all of the bounties, as some of them require victories, or to get certain amount of points per game. Which is certainly impossible in situations like the one below

I think my hunter has had around 30 matches and only 4 victories so far lol oh well... at least, with the titan did better
And another note, when I join a game that has already started, I dont tend to leave (except when I am alone against a team of 6s or the other team is red barring). I stay and relax, but when this happens over and over and over I get a bit angry, as I can't enjoy the game as I would want to.

Seriously players, stop leaving games just because you're not winning in the first 30 seconds
-
I have more of a problem with them starting matches with 9 players and dividing the teams into 6 v 3. How does that make any sense at all?
-
That's a little trickier than you think. Imagine you're in a match. A close match. And then a teammate or 2 leave for whatever reason. At this moment, you're going to think "come on! Give us a new teammate, quick!". Bungie isn't trying to screw you, it's trying to make it fair for the people already in the match. I know, it sucks getting put into a game that's already started. Especially rumble.... but that's kind of how it has to be.

I love running solo and getting put into a match in progress. Shorter match, easy rep. Profit.
-
what happens when i am on the outnumbered side and the match is sweaty? i wish someone to join and support. im sure what you experienced lately is not what was intended to happen. we know crucible is full of issues that couldnt be solved after 2 years...

I have had this happen a few times, but I have noticed that folks leave too soon from games. I have seen a near defeated team to come back and win at just the very last minute, so dont get discouraged at the first minutes. There is another observation on these games. Sometimes games are very laggy in the beginning, and its hard to get kills due to ghostshots. But then during the game, suddenly the lag disappears and things go well. My connection is very good, so I think this is mostly server issue. So a kind request for Bingie and Activision: IB is popular, so please have sufficient server capacity available for it. I know you have a business to run, but customer satisfaction is the key to success.

There is any easy fix to getting sent into in progress matches. Don't play solo.
-
First 4 iron banner games I did tonight I went to 4 matches that the team I was on already were getting -blam!- good luck bungie doesn't give a -blam!- about the community just how much money they will make for these shitty ass sicker chest
-
I played one game since the patch of the patch.....of the patch that fd everything up. It was much better. Tuesday and Wednesday were miserable. Lag as I've never seen before I'm bad at pvp and doing even worse this ib but damn, zaps any fun when lag is that bad I will play later to ]see if it's steady and better. Getting dropped into matches 50% before the patch they did Today. Not cool

Edited by Richie: 7/1/2016 1:06:26 AMIf you're talking about Iron Banner then joining a game in progress doesn't bother me. Losing still nets you a chance at a 335 reward so I don't care either way. If you're talking about regular Crucible then yeah it is pretty annoying.

Stop flying solo. Get a crew and stop crying.
-
I hate JIP too. Especially when you JIP, lose by a lot, get broken up after the match, and then get thrown into another game already in progress losing by a lot. It's an endless cycle sometimes. They should make it where if you stay in MM after the game you are guaranteed not to join another in progress.
-
Or, better yet, penalize people for leaving matches in progress that create the vacancies you're forced to fill in the first place! After all, there is no accounting for player ignorance.
-
Do you know why players quit those matches? Not because they are loosing, but because their bullets don't do any damage when they shoot at the enemies. And because they die from 1 bullet/ burst from any primary weapon. Yesterday, i could play almost normally and today i haven't finished 1 match, because the weirdest things are happening to me. Really frustrating. Blame Bungie for letting us play their unfinished pvp.

We had our fireteam split up last night when we got dropped into a game in progress, he was still listed as on our fireteam but was fighting with the other guys.
-
Join a clan! Try to lfg a team! It makes matchmaking so much easier and when you are put into a pre-existing match it tends to even out a lot faster
-
Ha last night started a game on banner fall, the second I spawn FoH!! Then a rocket to the testis! But we one
-
I have joined into so many losing matches one of them the team was getting destroy and I spawned immediately got killed by a blade dancer
-
It's just one match that's often near the end. It does it job iv won more than one game jumping in late and the loot is often worth it. Honstely it's not really an issue
-
If I were put in a game as the only player on my team I'd start dancing. If the other team had any sense of humor or empathy, they'd join in, and we'd all have a fun time. It'd only get funnier as Shaxx got pissed at our peaceful demonstration.

well with connection issues its going to happen but most of it is everyone being a bunch of wusses and or just caring about stats. To be honest its what overwatch does right focusing more on teamplay and less on stats
-
You should just count yourself lucky its managing to matchmake you at all. I had about 5 or 6 games in a row yesterday where the teams were unbalanced. There'd be like 5 on the opposing side, 3 on ours. Every match without fail new players would drop in as the game progressed, and every match without fail they got placed into the larger team. To pour salt into the wound, the feed actually said that they were joining us, but when you looked at the team they'd been placed on the other side. I think its a little premature to ask for quality of life improvements when the basics of matchmaking still seem to be eluding them.
-
I have found that but sometimes i like a challenge and i have clutched games. It helps with bounties and rep plus medallions give you a boost when you win
-
Get over it.
-
If you just stayed in that game and waited till the next game and stayed in the same lobby it would be fresh every time
-
at least its not full heavy full super full everything
