Do I only get ONE? ._. (Record book Rank 22)
I want to start off saying that I haven't seen another post talking about this. So if this has already been discused, I'm sorry for a new post ;(
So... I just got to Rank 22 on the Rise of Iron Record Book and as you can see on the image (link above), it only lets me withdraw ONE "Days of Iron" Ornament.
ONE.. ._.
I was grinding soooo hard since the expansion dropped (yeah yeah, welcome to destiny u.u)
Thinking.. well okay, if people cant wait to get those flaming armors they can very well spend their money on R. Treasures.. THATS TOTALLY FINE, and I'm okay with it. Most people are. But I wasn't gonna do that.
And I thought.. well, everything on the book can be redeemed multiple times, and the ornament is the Rank 22 reward (the maximum rank possible at this moment).. So maybe thats the thing, players that CANT or WONT buy R. Treasures can get their ornaments through the book. They would still have to get Silver dusts to put them on, but at least they won't have to worry about getting the ornaments from pure luck.
I honestly don't get why the decision of only ONE ornament from the book. Not even one for every character just one overall.
Heck, if you are grinding your way to Rank 22 hoping for multiple ornaments like I did just stop /: it ain't worth it as of now..

I wouldn't demand an unlimited amount. However, maybe enough to fully outfit ONE character (7). That would at least make more sense. The only reason I even got back on Destiny after a 10 month hiatus was because I've always been such a fan of Iron Banner events. So obviously this DLC rekindled my interest. This single thing has ruined it for me, though, no matter how minute of a detail. I'm not going to slave away, grinding for countless weeks for the CHANCE to get ornaments in my SINGLE weekly treasure drop. I'm also not going to fork over tons of extra cash to a company that outs players through so much trouble just for, once again, a CHANCE to get the ornaments I want. This is ridiculous and needs to be ammended. We've worked hard to achieve the rank. Our rewards should be fitting with the time and effort given. Bungie, like so many things before, fix it.

Well.. I'm a completionist so this doesn't factor in on completing the book. But I agree it feels a little cheap for only one drop to just one character.

1 RispondiI assumed they would be unlimited at rank 22. I agree with you, they should be. 22 is not easy to achieve, and should reward either access to unlimited ornaments, or a box of enough to fully equip a character with. Ornaments are a cool way to introduce customized weapons and armor, but like everything recently, its designed to make them more money.

1 RispondiThat's why I don't care about the book anymore. It's underhanded to only give one and shows bungie is always gonna be on thier money train. Want to look awesome like the trailer showed? Spend a mortgage and a half and MAYBE just MAYBE rng will give you what you want. But only after you sell your kidney though

How are you surprised about this? Pretty sure that was fairly obvious to most of us, hence the lack of threads about it?

6 RisposteOne isn't even enough to use on the helmet ornament alone. They hyped up these special armor sets before release, suggesting you can earn all the pieces. But no, instead of making real $ a shortcut, it's the [b]ONLY[/b] way to complete the set. If anyone believes they can get a DoI ornament every week from the single weekly package, it would still take 6 weeks of insane luck and dismantling all other ornaments from the packages for enough silver dust. And that's only [b]one[/b] character. For all 3, that's 18 weeks straight! Over 4 month's worth of insanely lucky drops. You may as well enter a lottery w/ that kind of luck instead to get the extra $ to just buy the ornaments & silver dust, cuz you'll be paying more $ than the base game & expansions combined just to complete a set or 2.

3 RisposteSadly, yes. But it looks like once you unlock that in the book the weekly patrol bounties and other plague land activities start to drop/reward iron ornament materials. Not sure how often, but I've gotten one already this way.

have you tried transferring the one in your inventory to the vault and then try to redeem? i have heard this works, but not sure as i still need to do trials to get there.

If a person is fully decked out in Iron Lord Ornaments, regardless of how he obtained them, he/she is bragging. Doesn't matter if they look god awful or are poorly rolled in terms of stats. They'll wear them and let you know they have something you might like. Everything is bragging in this game... From Raid Loot to Raid/Challenge Emblems, Adept Weapons to Flawless/Scarab Emblems, K/Ds to Elos, Grimoire to Light Level. Take the people who got the Taken Armor and Emote within one week. Poorly rolled armor stats on a "takenified" version of the ugliest armor sets to ever grace this game, that being the PoE armor, whilst spamming the Taken Shiver in front of everyone. They were definitely letting people know.

5 RisposteNot surprising. Bungo have moved up the shit list drastically for scumbaggery and this is typical of their new reputation. They essentially think this game is 'freemium' which would be fine...if it was free, mtx as a whole are a plague in gaming right now and only makes the games and community worse, it wont be long before there is a big backlash and bungo, who have already been accused to cutting content to sell (rightfully so) will be caught in the crossfire. When the righteous time comes, hopefully bungo will completely cease to exist as they have only proved to be -blam!- ups sincr halo 3.

[i]This not the only thing that I have not been rewarded for doing things that are supposed to garuntee an item.[/i] I still haven't got my original trails flawless emblem and I have proof that I have gone flawless in year one. Another example is Oryx challenge mode we got the second chest challenge gives you but [i]no one[/i] got the fragment, ship, and emblem. Another is Skolas, I wasn't rewarded the shader for my titan. Please Bungie do something about this, these are just some of my ensidents. Reward us with what we deserve. #WeDeserveOurRewards

That one from the book is the rock that gets you hooked. Before you know it, you'll be spunking money at eververse to fuel your addiction. That's what bungie would like anyway.
