When Destiny first released released it was overall fair, decent, okay, average... take your pick. Whichever way you want to describe it, the game has never been an incredible experience, or even a good one. Sure the game is fun and addictive, but that doesn't make it a high-quality product that soars above the sky flawlessly pooping out rainbow drops. No, Destiny is nowhere near perfection. But then again, there are barely any games from the 8th generation that actually are. The way I've always seen it, Destiny is actually one of the best games of the 8th video game generation. As much as Destiny's never made it into the Hall of Fame for being awarded a "Greatest Game EVER" type of deal, Destiny still stands as being much more playable than most other games that have launched throughout the years of this unforgettably dreadful series of disappointing releases. Miss after miss, the hits never fire. It's sort of like the industry itself is mainly comprised of sucky LFG players that came to kill Crota equipped with a Swordbreaker and Young Wolf's Howl. Destiny is far from the worst game of 2014. There were far lesser games that came out that year, including everything from Infamous: Second Son, Outlast, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. There are at least a few games that have vaulted well over Destiny's standing this generation, but Destiny remains one of the better-performing games of the era, especially compared to the yearly crud that keeps being churned out year after year by industry-wide failures to make at the very least good games or better.
