Just curious as to what most people’s favorite enemy types/races are? I personally like them in this order:
1) Vex
2) Hive
3) Fallen
4) Cabal
5) Taken
6) Scorn
I feel like the Taken and ESPECIALLY the scorn are just recycled enemies. We need an entirely new enemy type from the ground up. However, the other enemies are still amazing to me. I feel like the hive have a better lore overall due to their sheer depth, but the Vex and their design/armor looks/areas/atmosphere are just my favorite overall. Just a fellow hunter curious as to what my fellow guardians think/feel on this topic!?!?

Bungie missed the opportunity to make Taken Captains the Overload Champions.
-
Why no poll

Vex my little robot children. Still love when back in D1 when I first went to Venus there was suddenly a hord of Vex killin' me.
-
How dare you say that about the scorn Yeah, they're built off the base models of the fallen but half of them are entirely unique! The Scorn ravager with its headless body and burning flail The Abomination and it's hulking electric blasts The screeb and it's skittering explosions The scorn have such a cool look and aesthetic. The body horror mixed with their scrapped together kitbashed environments are so cool to me! I LOVE THE SCORN
-
Well, I would probably choose Hive overall but the screebs are the best, most reaction provoking enemy for my money. They were well done by Bungie, when you see them closing in on you in closed quarters they can make one shudder.
-
D1 cabal, when they were somewhat menacing, didn’t look like silly cartoons, and didn’t have GIANT GLOWING CRIT SPOTS IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR “SHEILD”!!!!
-
scorn and fallen are my favorites taken and hive on the other hand… no one is more annoying to fight than those two
-
Anything with Overload.
-
Bungie. Because they're the biggest baddies of all. Otherwise, Fallen because they're not really enemies and I feel sorry for them.
-
Vex And Fallen specifically for the raid bosses and bosses in general.
-
-
Can't say which one as they are pretty hard to choose from! So I'll go Stasis Hunter with Stompees + Last Word + Felwinter's LOL!

Modificato da silver: 10/9/2021 12:26:50 AMHive are the worst...and the best. They are effing scary! But they look so cool to though. When I first fought the hive, I wasn't expecting an entire HOARD of thrall. And all I had was a AR and a couple of rocket shots. I was sooo nervous because I remember it was a darkness zone.
-
The Hive; they are literal monsters, and (IMO) are the greatest threat.
-
Modificato da Atreuss: 10/11/2021 5:35:40 AMHive and taken. I absolutely hate scorn.
-
From a lore standpoint, I absolutely love the Vex and Taken. From a gameplay standpoint, probably the Fallen and Vex since they have the least amount of BS within their ranks. Every other race has at least two obnoxious enemy types that I don't like dealing with (with the Taken in particular being 40% knockback, 50% ability spam, and 100% annoying).

Man I love the scorn, their mad max look is perfect and I'm really gonna miss the shore next year. I think my favorite enemies to fight would be in this order: 1 hive. Not only are they the biggest threat to humanity rn, but killing them is also technically not wrong. They embrace death at our hands if we can prove we are stronger. Conscience is clean with them 2 taken. The faction that requires the most skill to use, and their abilities have lore in them as well to connect the beings they were to the taken versions (see the taken grimoire cards from D1) 3 scorn. Mad max fallen, their aesthetic is perfect and critting the censers is very satisfying. 4 cabal. I really liked the cabal in the beginning of d1 when they were badass war mongering beasts, plus they had achieved what none of the more powerful enemies of humanity had: taking the city and the traveler. However, they've kind of devolved from a menacing empire to a scavenger/tribal role similar to that of the fallen (except for caitl's cabal, but they aren't our enemy anymore and will likely Ally with us in lightfall, depends what happens with calus). They don't seem like a threat to the majority of humanity anymore as long as we keep them in check. 5 vex. Popping the juice box on them is so satisfying. Plus morally speaking it's not murder if theyre robots. However, I have mixed feelings about them bc their history is so mysterious. On one hand, it's the most interesting thing about them, but on the other it's been 7 years and we still know almost nothing about their origins. I think that would be the most interesting thing to slowly discover about them since their current MO is to convert everything in the universe to blocky stones. Plus wyverns are possibly the most annoying enemy ever, that jump attack is a -blam!-. 6 fallen. I want to be clear: the fallen are one of my favorite races in destiny, but it seems like we're past the point of fighting them. There definitly was a time where they were a threat we needed to deal with but since rise of iron, the fallen have been bandits that wreak havoc but are of no threat to the city anymore. I think we shouldn't run into hostile fallen bandits anymore than we should run into hostile human (or post human) bandits, but d2 has to keep it's T for teen rating and killing humans in the droves we slaughter the other races in probably wouldnt fly with that.

The P2P system

I like the vex because they pop an they have some interesting lore
-
Idk why, but ever since the game's inception in 2014, Hive are my favorite enemy to kill. There's something satisfying about popping heads off of em. Lol

Don’t disrespect Devil Splicers like this
-
ESPECIALLY the scorn are just recycled enemies.
What? Just because they are zombie eliksni doesn’t mean they’re recycled. They literally have completely different units with entirely different move sets, elements, weapons and shields along with their own tank (abomination). Fighting the scorn in game compared to the fallen are completely different ball games and you need to change play styles with that.

Modificato da Seraphim Crypto: 10/9/2021 9:10:50 AMI like the Taken for having abilities that actually challenge me a bit. The other enemies barely have any abilities other than maybe throwing a grenade or teleporting two meters into the open. I don't really care about getting a new enemy, I fought the Covenant for 15 years and they still entertain me. What I would like to see is different AI behaviour, because most of them are far too predictable.

Idk about favorite (hive I guess?) but the taken can eff off. Dang reskins designed to be annoying af
