Why do you make some of the decisions that you make? The find fireteam "app" on this site is straight up trash. It was bad before you "overhauled" it, and now it is some how actually worse.
#1 - Never, and I mean NEVER, have a "popup" layer that has an input form on it, that you can "accidentally close" by clicking the mask layer. If you have a form that comes up in a layer, you should have to physically click a close button to close it. Even better if you have a confirmation to confirm that the user wants to "discard" their input, in the event that input occurred. Worse case scenario, the layer should not be destroyed, if you don't confirm the close, so if the user clicks the create button again, everything is still how they left it, not completely blank.
Do you think its a good user experience to start creating a fireteam, then accidentally close the form because you accidentally clicked a mask layer, and then have to type everything back in again all because you, the developers, were either too lazy to properly implement this interface, take the time to actually think through it logically, or are just completely incompetent?
#2 - If you're going to limit the title of the fire team from 30 - 50 characters, how about you limit the input to 50 characters so you cannot physically go over the limit under normal usage. While you're at it, it would be trivial to disable the submit button until the condition of the 30 minimum characters has been met (with a tip informing the user that the title length criteria had not been met).
You need to help the users out. Put some thought behind this and how it actually plays for the actual users. Have more than three people from the dev team that made this do some testing and QA on it and I guarantee you this feedback would have been provided prior to deployment. No you just look stupid FFS.
I don't know how a company like Bungie that has as much money as they have, can put this untested, poorly thought out "web app" for us to use and think its even close to something resembling a complete or polished [fully functioning] product. It's mind boggling.

That's how they released the game itself, so you really shouldn't be surprised.
