Introduce Gear Sets With Bonuses
So hear me out. Imagine 1 slot for the extoic and 4 legendaries to match the set once built utilizing piece by piece additional stats and bonuses and an awesome ability or effect that only a full set can do. Kinda like how Diablo has armor sets with added powers, etc. Start of 3 sets per sub class.

1 RispondiPerks that are outside the concept of raid buff or rank percentages. Big yes. (I have a feeling that's what so e of the universal ornaments were st first but Bungies corporate team saw it as a cash grab moment instead)

1 RispondiHard enough as is to get stats exactly were you want em(T32) but to get those stats with particular armor.... Ooof, rough. Say you got your ideal 6th Coyote suit. T32, stats distributed how you like. Now you gotta replace the arms with the '6th Coyote' arms, so you gotta be lucky enough to get them to drop [i]with the exact same stats[/i] to replace your normal arms or mess up your stats and gain the benefit? Odds are not in your favor.

1 RispondiGear sets are great in games like the division. But in Destiny I highly doubt, that bungie can balance them right. They barely can manage the weapons, and exotics.

1 RispondiThese sets it should be like Void set: 1 piece: void damage is increased by 4% 2 piece: void buffs last 3 seconds longer 3 piece: targets killed with the volatile debuff explode and apply a weaken nearby targets. 4 piece: increase weaken debuff by 10%. 5 piece: always have volatile rounds. Exotic armors that affect a subclass count as a freeby for things like void sets.

2 RisposteI would absolutely love this, chasing end game gear sets with set effects is something I've really enjoyed in other games and it could have a great place in Destiny. For example gear sets with 5/5 equip effects that add extra armour energy for more mods, or go more MMO style and just straight up give +5-10 in some or all stats

1 RispondiDivision 2 is a great example of this. Tons of different armor brands that give small bonuses for using up to 3 pieces from the same brand. You had dps brands, healing brands, tank, skill, they all had their function except for a few but still
