Fireteam Finder - Constructive Criticism

I used the Fireteam Finder today (11/30) during the Raid Beta, and I have some pros and cons with it. I used both the searching function and the Create function with multiple people. Firstly, I want to acknowledge that it actually works. I was kind of surprised that I didn't encounter any major bugs or issues when it came to joining posts, making posts, or assembling/connecting to the fireteam. The UI looks pretty clean, scrolling through the available posts to join isn't unnecessarily cluttered. The Filter feature is also nice for simplifying the search for what you want. However, there are some issues. Most notably, sometimes when you apply for a post, the pop up doesn't happen right away and/or the pop has no words, just an "accept" or "cancel" prompt. It is confusing and you aren't sure what the pop up is asking. Secondly, when you've made a post or joined one, it puts you in the fireteam screen and asks you if you're ready. Naturally, I wanted to adjust my loadout before confirming that I was ready, but upon exiting my character screen, I was brought to orbit, where I was alone. I had thought the post leader had booted me, so when I went back to fireteam finder to join another post, I realized I was still in the post. When you are in a fireteam post, as an individual or a leader, it needs to be the default screen when you exit menus such as the Character, Quest, Inventory screens, etc. There a few things I'd like to see changed, but don't impact the functionality of Fireteam Finder. First, I don't think we need a screen dedicated to "Search or Create" it just adds a useless layer to the functionality. It should take people straight to the activity flags, and once they have selected their activity and power level, (ie. Raids - Crota's End - Normal 1790) it should take you to the search screen, and have a "Create" button on the top right next to the "Reselect Activity" button. Secondly, the tags/titles are nice (Not sure what the difference is between the two when there are more titles than tags), but even when only having raids available, I find the tags lacking. For example, there is no Flawless tag. If I want to do a Flawless Crota (Not to mention there are triumphs for flawless dungeons and seasonal activities also), I currently have to put tags such as "Experienced" and "Lots of Time" and after people join AND I assemble the fireteam, can I explain that I intend to do a Flawless, in which people will drop out. I'm glad there is a tag for farming, but without secondary tags like "1st Encounter" or "Final Boss" it doesn't mean much. Basic things are also missing such as "Fresh Run", "3rd Encounter Check Point", or "Red Border Chest". Other tags are either misleading or double meaning, Why is there a "No Toxicity" and a "Safe Space" tag, aren't those the same? And If there is a post with the "Women of Destiny" tag, I can assume a woman made the post, but does that tag mean they are looking for only women? It's unclear. Lastly, I understand the "Minimum Guardian Rank" starting at 5 because people below that need to work there way up through the New Light intro and basic game mechanics; but why can't a post be made for Rank 11 Paragon only? What is the point of being Rank 11 if it has the same accessibility as 10? They are no different. Ultimately it works and I had no major issues. I think there need to be a lot more tags and the screens can be trimmed down a bit, but ultimately worked really well. I hope to see it cleaned up a bit the next time it comes around, and excited to see what the other activities look like. Good Start!
