Being able to get crafted weapons is the main thing I enjoy about seasons. I don’t have the patience to deal with randoms to grind a “perfect” roll. I get excited when I get red border weapons. It one of the reasons I get on as much as I do. I level weapons up by running seasonal content and strikes. I’ve been doing it every season since you added crafting. But without it I’m literally going to get the weapons I don’t care for once just to add to my collection and that’s about it.
Please don’t take away the one thing I look forward to each season.

I think it is time to refund if the season weapons are not craftable, that was the ONLY reason i played anything in echoes

Modificato da Tahllinavian: 10/8/2024 8:40:23 PMYes, I literally lost all will to grind them out now, I'm already low on stash space, no thanks Bungo, go back. I like a grind being " over" so that I can move on to something else and know that I'll always be able to go back and craft, if I need something. I am even less excited for this season than the last and I bought the deluxe edition. The removal of this is Bungie clearly not respecting player's time.
-
Indeed, it's a huge step backwards regarding QoL and the vault will fill up even quicker. Hate this change so much!
-
I like how in the same stream they tell us the new season weapons aren't craftable, and later talk about the vault space problem and how they have no solution to fix it.
-
So crafting is completely gone now? I just did the first lil "mission" and I didn't see anything at the new "vendor". If so, that sucks. Zero reason for me to run anything new lol. Just wait till I can guild conqueror I guess

Modificato da Synge_X: 10/8/2024 10:36:08 PMListen, streamers have to be the only people in the game who have access to God rolls by way of the grind being out of reach for the broader community. That way, their content is more compelling when they review the weapons. It is these negative changes that act as tax for the unofficial advertisement wing of Bungie. Why would we want to PLAY with great weapons when their rarity can make certain players feel good about themselves, or better yet, we can watch more worthy players use them? Perhaps one day, there will only be people “watching” D2… as the last streamer logs off for the final time to make their “why I’m quitting Destiny 2” video.
-
I agree and so I won’t be grinding for them.

Modificato da The Ashen Ranger: 10/9/2024 7:14:10 AMTaking away seasonal weapon crafting is just objectively bad for a lot of reasons. It removes a tangible goal for players, and a sense of being guaranteed to be rewarded for your time. It also forces you to sacrifice even more vault space because you have to hold on to every good roll you get, in case you want to make a build with it later. You can’t just be secure in the knowledge that you have the pattern, and can use it for buildcrafting any time you want, you have to hoard all your good rolls because you don’t even know if you’ll still be able to farm for the guns next year, when the seasonal content is removed. There are so many seasons whose weapons I can only access through crafting, because Bungie deleted the activities and never gave us another way to farm for them. It sucks even more for new players, because they’ll never be able to get those weapons, but at least I have my patterns to craft from. Going forward, we won’t even have those anymore.
-
Agreed shouldn't have to play hours of onslaught for god rolls. Crafting was the one thing I looked forward to each season/episode. This is total bs. And they wonder why this game is in decline. They are so out of touch for the gamers and only cater to streamers. I've paid for every bit of content but never posted a youtube video so in Bungies eyes my opinion is less valid.
-
Once I heard that but GoS gets crafted weapons I said well there is my true motivation to grind there. Heck I just did 2 ones with a great group having ya know *fun* something that everyone with this whole weird meme of you have to play the game have sprung up since crafting came out don't seem to understand. Grinding is fine if there is a end goal a chase can only last for so long and not only that what your playing you should enjoy doing.
-
Bungie is always “tuning “ things. What is a “god” roll one month could be trash the next. That is what makes crafting necessary. To reduce playtime to get what we need for some game modes. The method of tuning the loot drops Bungee likes since it spiked gameplay with people grinding for that perfect drop. Perfect drop of re-re-re-released weapons. We did this to ourselves.
-
Modificato da Patient_094: 10/9/2024 12:28:57 PMNo one who argued against crafting thought that the activities would still get stale even without crafting? No one at Bungie had that thought either? Who is still running Duality? Ghosts of the Deep? Are they happy with those numbers? Are people still buying those dungeon packs? Because the last two weeks on Into the Light were pretty miserable trying to get those last desired rolls. For weapons that mostly got instantly vaulted by the way. Onslaught got really old really fast and you could tell because the people still playing it got worse and worse. Randomly matchmaking into a group that couldn't crack wave 35 for the final 5 or 6 days made it even more miserable. So many decisions in this game are already disrespectful of your time hoping you will be strong-armed into playing more.

I get that they think it's been too easy to get the craftable weapons each season (sorry, Episode) - this season I think I got all of them done within 1-2 weeks of them being released. If that's the case, just increase the required number of red borders - that's enough to slow things down, while still retaining the element of RNG. Right now though, you can tell that their focus is on one thing and one thing only; content creators. They honestly believe that the downturn in player numbers is due to fewer creators streaming their game, which those creators blame on a lack of 'meaningful loot drops' By 'meaningful' they mean 'worthy of devoting an hour's worth of streaming time to in order to replay the same content over and over in order to hunt for 'perfect rolls' they can then turn into build videos on YouTube'. Because poor story telling, blinkered player engagement and a refusal to let go of decades old design philosophies have nothing to do with it, apparently....

It's sad Bungie listens to Streamers, like Datto, Azetcross, etc over the general public. They should have a vote for us all on things like this.
-
High time the game go back to some roots where time investment is actually worth something.

Modificato da RabbitOnAMission: 10/11/2024 11:34:19 AMCraftable seasonal weapons actually give me a reason to chase the weapons. If I can’t craft, I’ll only chase the weapon(s) that I’ll want to use and that’s it. Playing inventory management simulator isn’t fun so I’m not going to grind for things I don’t care about, but I’ll grind red borders. Bungie short-sighted as usual. Update: so far haven’t found a weapons I care to grind for🙃
-
Agreed. Honestly anyone who says no on crafted weapons being a thing need to think of this as well. They can still grind for their god roll and they don't have to do crafting themselves. Leave crafting to those who like it and piss off about complaining. At least anyone who wants to grind for the god roll don't have to deal with the resource sink you have to put into crafted weapons to level them faster and install the perks you want.
-
Modificato da Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 10/9/2024 7:59:50 PMSince they are not, I will be playing less. I always complete all patterns even if I have no current plans to craft and use the weapon. Metas always change, things get buffed, etc. I at least have the option to if I ever want to. Now? I’m not bothering to chase a weapon roll for something I have no plans to use and that there is now no progress to be made towards the pattern. Grind another arc pulse roll through rigid RNG? No thanks. This change literally decreases my play time for this reason alone, let alone how I feel about RNG. I genuinely enjoyed the red border pursuit more.
-
It's honestly so stupid to take them away, they already had a great way to implement a new grind an that was done perfectly in Salvations edge. 1. get craftable weapons (This is the lower end of the grind, the starting point, built for the casual players) 2. Once all craftable weapons are unlocked you start grinding for your God roll adept weapons with additional perks and better mods to slot in. (This would be the higher end of endgame) Just implementing these two tiers of grind would satisfy both the hardcore and casuals. As the casuals get their crafted rolls and the hardcore plays can chase down those adept weapons or even Shiny's if the season goes that route. Honestly taking away crafting feels like a step back rather than expanding upon it. Hope they reconsider this in the future.

Same as you I don't have the patience to 'hope' for the god roll. My biggest issue: My vault does not have space for "ok" rolls. It's god roll or none. If I don't have the patience to farm god rolls with terrible rng.. what happens? Bigger question. How many vets have the same issue I have? What does that do to population?
-
Agreed, Crafting has always been a net positive. There is still plenty of RNG for getting the patterns and there's always a light at the end of the tunnel being crafting once a patterns complete. Better that than piles of dismantled 3/5 rolls that might have decent perks but bad barrel/mag. They completely missed the reason we liked into the light. It wasn't just because we could focus the weapons (although that was nice). It was because of the FOMO for the shiny weapons. Making regular seasonal weapons RNG with some weird focusing busy work tonics is lame.

Modificato da Magiscene: 10/8/2024 4:40:14 PMPeople saying crafting killed the game crack me up. They act like raids and seasonal content are the only content in the game. Last I checked nightfalls and dungeons are still a thing. seasonal weapons and raid weapons are all that are added to the crafting pool and that’s it. People can still grind dungeons, nightfalls, reprised weapons and everything else just fine for god rolls. Seasonal content gets rotated out so the weapons being craftable makes sense since their source to earn them goes away. And not everything gets added back if we are lucky it gets put in the world pool, xur, or banshee. They haven’t said it yet but we all know episodes will get rotated out of the game. For raids we still have adepts from master modes so having the weapons crafted is great because those that do not want to play harder content can just go for the crafted roll. Plus not to meantion people will stop playing modes or raids eventually when they get their god rolls. It’s no different than chasing red borders. It can happen sooner or later crafting just made it faster. Them saying onslaught loot chase is the reason why they are doing this is not really the full story. People ground onslaught for one thing and one thing only. The limited edition shiny weapons. From what I’ve seen over the years players love having stuff to show off and having the best gear rather than the chase. Be it from meta defining rolls (looking at you day 1 raiders/trials players) or rare stuff (looking at you bungie bounty hunters). I’m so glad I didn’t buy the next season. I was considering it but the seasonal weapons not being craftable is the stupidest decision and ruined the one thing I look forward to each season, so no point wasting my money. It’s just a cop out to abuse fomo to get engagement numbers up. I can’t wait to see all the posts next season of people complaining about bad rng like when onslaught first came out. I’ll have my popcorn ready and my response of “if only the weapons were craftable” on standby.

It Makes you wonder then...what was the point in Witch Queen introducing crafting when it's only going to be for raids now? Kinda just feels dumb and now makes THAT expansion terrible for bringing a system that basically "killed" the game. Hopefully, Bungie will realise this and allow the weapons to be crafted at some point during the episode (doubt it but who knows) as well as having the option of purchasing the weapons through the engrams we collect like in the past. Makes the grind much easier but now? Nowhere in sight and now we have to play to earn the weapons and to make matters worse? It's in a mode that whilst great for its time needs the same treatment as the original, wheres the focusing for a specific weapon like with the normal vanguard onslaught? (Don't say the tonics as they don't give a specific weapon).

this is how D2 2025 looks like :) 0 quests, 0 craftable weapons, 0 content. btw they want now for seasonpass more money, 20 bucks for this xDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
