It makes no sense for an exotic to be weaker than its Spirit version. Spirit of Cyrtarachne is incredibly valuable on Prismatic, because it can work with all grenades, and even Gunpowder Gamble, not to mention you get an entire other exotic perk with it. Cyrtarachne's Facade, on the other hand, only works with 1 specific grenade on 1 specific subclass. If it worked with all grenades on all subclasses, just like the Spirit version does, then it would be way more valuable and versatile as an exotic, and we'd actually see people using it outside of the occasional PvP match once in a blue moon.

Cyrtarachne’s Facade is amazing on Strand. The fact that you don’t see that is not Bungie’s problem. Don’t get me wrong, Spirit of Cyrtarachne is fantastic on Prismatic for the reasons you pointed out. But it being good on Prismatic does not mean the OG is terrible. It just has a different utility.

Modificato da Dredgen Truth: 4/3/2025 3:52:14 AMIt works the way it does because everything on prismatic needs to apply more broadly simply as a matter of how prismatic works. I think the way spirit of cyrtarachne vs cyrtarachne's facade is, is fine. Beyond that, as someone that regularly uses a strand pvp build with cyrtarachne's facade, you REALLY don't want people having that effect on shackle grenades. It would quickly become oppressive.

Very true, I hope it gets some other kind of functionality on it too. It has like increased flinch resist but i don't think that is comparable to something like abeyant leap. Maybe something to do with unravel/unravel rounds?

I didn’t even know the main exotic didn’t function the same way until now lol. Damn that’s actually kind of sad. I scored this perk with renewal as well. You actually have to try to die with it lol the DR is insane

Finally a forum post that’s actually decent feedback. And it’s for my favorite subclass.

Or they buff Cyrtarachne with an additional effect such as enhanced grenade regen when you have Woven mail.
