I've tried Crucible over and over. My friends tell me it's fun, and that you have to get use to it, but they're playing as Warlocks and Hunters. I'm constantly being wrecked by players, that are mostly Hunters and Warlocks. Even thinking about it, I don't really see that many Titans in the Crucible. The Titan abilities seem to only really work in defense, even the Striker Subclass. Is any other Titan just getting destroyed out there? I'm good at games like Halo and Battlefield, and I'll admit, I'm not great at Crucible, but this is out of control! Does anyone feel the same? Are Titans a weaker PvP class?
-
Yea Titans are pretty underpowered compared to the other classes, you just have to out skill them
-
Yes takes time to get used to playing as a Titan and can be difficult go on twitch and search for destiny streamer AEgabriel he is the best pvp Titan I have seen his movement round the map is amazing.

OK man, listen I have had many games go really well with my titan but as a player that has one of every class....take it from me the warlocks range on his melee is a big deal and the hunter being able to blink strike and the throwing knife for the gunslingers is just sooo much fun! What I'm getting at it is that the main weakness of the titan in PvP is the melee has no range. Yes you can use shoulder charge but its not guaranteed to hit and you gotta have a running start. Do what I did and watch some YouTube vids of some guys going in with titans and just learn from that. And if you want to be good with the titan in PvP learn how to throw the lightning grenade, and learn how to use the death from above effectively.... If done right, they will never see it coming.
-
You're right, I play better on warlock and hunter
-
Slower yes but not the weakest. Problem is that you can't run and gun that well with them do to the mobility trade off for the armor. It takes a different type of playstyle to use them properly. Titan is my strongest bc I don't like to run shotgun but that's my playstyle naturally.
-
Nope. My 6 year old just got 20 kills and a 3.3 kd with a titan. The titan on my profile is his, but his last game was exceptional. Feel free to look.
-
Hunter is the worst. That means you just suck
-
No titans are just the weakest. I played titan for the first like 6 months with no other characters and only had like 1.8 kd as my highest, 1.3 was around my overall (I also sucked in the beginning of play but that's irrelevant) played a sunsinger warlock and have close to 2.0kds or 2.0 kds and I find it drastically easier to kill people

Modificato da Elitespear: 5/28/2015 10:37:06 AMThey are the weakest don't worry, it's not just you. The armour/mobility trade off isn't balanced. Bear in mind that you will be spammed with "omg but dey hav a 1 hut meley!!11". These people are not good at the crucible. There are people that are very good with a titan, but you have too look hard to find them and they will be good or better with the other two classes.
-
Try a warlock or Hunter for yourself. You may find that you do better with them. I maimed a Titan since the beta, and I found myself doing much better with the other two classes.

Modificato da the battousai Z: 5/28/2015 4:43:14 PMAbuse the shoulder charge, use thorn or the last word, get a good shotgun (party crasher or judgement), if you prefer fusion rifles it better be maxout at charging time, use striker class... save your panic attack for two or more enemies... or save it for that blade dancer, space magician... be carefull with gunslingers if your not close hide if youre close, titan smash, when you kill a warlock wait a sec or 2 wait to see if hes going to self revive as soon as he comes up with the fire wings shot him down with titan smash for a 2 for 1 kill special!!! The titan smash will destroy bladancers and space magicians like no other special! When you shoulder charge make sure your shotgun is at the ready. Always keep in mind the melee punch has no reach, so be carefull when you try to shotgun punch an enemy, dont rush! Play carefully, every other character has blink except titans, when you see a titan charging at you hes going to panic attack you 80% of the time ... hope this tips help you.

Titans rules 💙💙

Titans are ok, shoulder charge is your best move

Modificato da iamthagovna: 5/28/2015 5:04:27 PMI used to get destroyed all the time, but I used those loses to get better. Whatever it was I was doing when I lost, I stopped doing. Almost actually... I do still love to play Rambo when I'm a Striker. Um... I play Titan only. My k/d is consistently positive. A few things that helped me: 1. I got a new controller. My previous one had a busted right stick. Looking down was painfully slow. Had to back peddle or use auto center to right myself. So, yeah, make sure your equip is working. Sounds dumb, but it happens. 2. I slowed down until I could speed back up. Yeah, it felt cheap at first. I was all but camping. It helped me recognize the patterns in all the chaos. For example, I was able to pinpoint popular sniping locations, and not to stand in their line of sight. Looking at you Shores of Time. Once you have more knowledge about maps and player habit, you can go back to high speed chess. 3. Vertical play. Never had to worry about someone double or triple jumping over my head in other FPS's really. In the beginning, I seldom looked up at all. Why? No one jumps to put a shot gun round in the top of someone's head in the other games. Hell can you even jump that high in Halo? CoD? 4. I began to play with confidence no matter what. Oh, you use Thorn huh? Sniper shot gun? You're the highest level available, and this is iron Banner huh? None of that matters, I am going to win. Oh, you just killed me huh? I don't know who you were, but I will find you, and I will kill you lol.

U r bad that is y
-
Yea one of the only grimoire cards I'm missing is kills with Titan in pvp
-
when it comes to the crucible I only use my Titan. I use all the Iron Banner armour (it focuses on Intellect and Discipline) along with the Armamentarium for my exotic. Lots of grendades and quick supers. easy.
-
If you"know" how to use a Titan they can be the most effective class in PvP. I've reached Rank 5 in Iron Banner the last 3 events using just my titan. I would play Defender with almost maxed Recovery and Armor with almost no Agility. Then I would use Mida Multi Tool, Felwinters Lie and Jolders Hammer. Also would use Armementarium as my Exotic armor while using Armor of Light in my subclass. Come get some Hunters and Warlocks :P
-
You forgot #satire With shoulder charge, Fist of Panic, and quick intellect Titans dominate the cruciable. That is the entire reason I made one.
-
Use Thorn and Crucible becomes an easy way to farm XP
-
They are definitely the weakest as they lack a class with blink. That being said, you can still do fine with a titan. Blade dancer is probably still the strongest class despite the repeated nerfs.
-
No they are actually really strong, I'm a Titan myself and I'm usually on top. Use shoulder charge and play so you can counter the other classes p.s if you get blinked on rub forward not back and quickly turn around, you'll kill those sneaky gay blinkers in no time
-
Not the weakest but they are limited with there play style can only really do the super aggressive mobile play Bubble support is great but the rest of that class still needs you to get up close and personal with a lot of melee abilities so still in my opinion not to balanced If that's your play style can have a lot of fun with it tho (nothing feels better than a well executed shoulder charge) it's just not my style as I prefer to fight at mid range and love my sniper (yes I'm that guy ) and it sounds like this may be your preference to my advice is play the hunter and get the same satisfaction from a cross map throwing knife to the face haha

I like to unleash the disco tent and dance in side while the enemies fire and stare at me till one grows the balls to also enter the tent and cut my party short
