The point was raised in HM Rob's thread, in a strange manner that didn't work so well.
So here's a direct question for the atheists of Secular Sevens; what would it take for you to become a Christian?

God himself coming down as the Bible describes him... which I doubt he'd do if he is indeed real
-
Black Jesus would have to show up in my 'hood and teach me about being a good person
-
-
Proof of heaven/hell for starters
-
I believe in God but don't buy into al this religious/ bible shit. Why isn't it enough that I believe in him? Why must I join into a religion to prove it?
-
God or a servant of God to appear in my bedroom and tell me I'm wrong or some amazing miracle that science can't explain
-
If they are not Christian and they celebrate CHRISTmas then they are selfish hypocrites!
-
Explain to me who or what made God with ought just saying "he was always here"
-
Why should I be a Christian?
-
Make me see why Christians started the Crusades, killed thousands of people, and didn't give a shit after, was a good thing
come on, tell me, i really want to know
Modificato da Striker93175: 11/12/2014 6:04:29 PMIf you take the Chridtian bible and put it out in the wind and the rain, soon the paper on which the words are printed will disintegrate. Before long the entire book will disintegrate and return to the earth. My bible is the wind and the rain and the water and the earth. My bible has been around for billions of years before the Christian bible... and will be here billions of years after the last Christian bible has been printed. And yet Christians are very much pagan in practice. Yule celebrations, trees, lights on trees, burning of frankincense to cleans, candle lighting, easter eggs, even astrological practices (easter Sunday is always the first Sunday after the first full moon on the vernal equinox)... Even Santa has pagan roots. A Trinity deity (akin to the mother maiden and crone). The virgin birth and resurrection has also been done in many pagan religions prior. So while your question is what would it take for me to become a Christian, I pose to you a similar one... What would it take for a Christian to realize your more or less practicing a variant of the religion that has been around since the dawn of humanity?

It'd be nice to hear from Him time and time again.

Was a fervent Christian for many years...started reading the old testament and could not reconcile the two beings known as God... Radically different. The constant doubt led to no longer consider myself one these days...more agnostic/i dont think about it i just live my life

Tell me he difference between a shrine, an idol, and a crucifix, and not have the word "nothing" in the answer. If you can do this, you are half way there. After that, you have to show me just how much God isn't a hypocrite. If you can do this, you have had a successful conversion.

I like money. Maybe I could buy myself a better seat in heaven via church donations?

Having my reasoning mind taken out of my head and replaced with the brain of a sheep. Bah! Baaaaah! Yep that would just about do it. Religion is mythology. Made up stories to help you sleep at night and keep you in line with fear and guilt. Can't have everybody walking around thinking for themselves can we?

indisputable fact.

When you guys actually are right about the world ending ill believe yer shit.

Modificato da Pheonix: 11/12/2014 1:57:30 PMEven if god came down in his magical school bus from heaven and told me to get on my knees, I still wouldn't become a christian.

Half life 3

Well I base my beliefs on reason. I just don't see any of it in any religion. I mean I can understand why some people see it, but I just can't.
-
Believe in god? I would need absolute proof and more than just evidence that she's a superior being, she would have to be able to break the laws of the universe that she created. Become a christian? Nothing. I'm pretty sure if she came down to earth she would reject all of Christianity and facepalm at how wrong they got it.

In the words of Bill Nye: Proof.

The rapture

I wouldn't because it's hard to change my mind on something I've thought since I was like 4
