Let's go over a list of why "Crucible except with nothing different" AKA Iron Banner is awful.
First of all, as the aforementioned states, it's nothing special. It's literally just Control. "Oh but level advantages are on and blahfstgf" yeah my ass. Tell me that when a lvl 22 tries to go toe-to-toe with me. Until then, -blam!- off.
Secondly, the connection this time around is -blam!-ing atrocious. Red bar connections DOMINATE good connections. Is this Black Ops 2 in disguise?
And why in the hell am I constantly being put into games where my team has 2 people and is losing by THOUSANDS? Put me in a fresh game, goddamn it!
I would talk about how that disease called the Thorn is dominating, but that's old news by now.
I can't -blam!-ing stand The Crucible, and Iron Banner is a shit stain on even that. Level 5 pls, com soonr :c

Started a game of Banner earlier and by the end I was the only original person on my team. I don't get this quit out of a game in progress, there should be a cooldown before you can rejoin if you do it because it's annoying as hell!

highlander1590により編集済み: 7/4/2015 8:31:07 PMI have done all of the Iron Banners but the first and this is by far the worst for many of the issues listed above. Man it is stunning how many crappy players at Level 34 there are. And how many players are just out for stats and don't play the game well at all. Players using their supers to kill one guy and the "no skill" players that use Rocket Launchers as their heavy and take out 1 player at a time. I am by no means good at PVP and make no claims to be by the way but I try to capture zones and play for the team. My stats should back that up as I am in the top 1% in captures. One other note I have 2 characters at Rank 5 and the third is now at Rank 4. I have played over 110 matches and have not seen 1 exotic drop for anyone in all of those games! I used to see about 10 drop in that many games. Hell I got 4 one IB.

Iron Banner is like a bar room brawl in a western movie. Players flying around with no real idea what's happening, shooting at everything including team mates and scenery. It's the most fun I've had in the crucible, the serious, stat-monitoring players are spitting bullets while the rest of us are laughing out loud at the madness just hoping to snag some nice armour and guns before time runs out.

Eh. I don't care about K/D in this game, so I just kinda deal with it and try to have fun until my bounties are eventually complete. If I get TOO overrun by Thorns, I just use mine. And the connection? Their servers aren't the greatest, but I've found that when I'm lagging more than usual, resetting my router seems to help. Just relax, man. When you start taking Iron Banner or PvP in general too seriously, it becomes much more of a pain in the ass.

Yes the level matters crap is such a load. and I also got dropped into every dead match on the planet. I don't honestly think they have enough players left Here is why. My son had the xbox 1 so I thought heck it is just crucible I will go up and play it on the 360. So I did some and thought heck I will get my Crota Hard mode done. Checked on LFG for a team last evening....Nothing at all. Checked some other raids nothing at all. Checked it again this morning just for giggles nothing. Got a team on the one to do it but noticed there were not many listings there either and if you do find a team it likely won't be experineced players. You are sure that a couple will never have done a raid. What that says to me is all the game vets are slowily going away. I know everyone declairs this game dead all the time but it sure does seem like it is and has lost a lot of players.

Played the same map 4 times in a row a little while ago... Seriously... With us being 2 DLC's in, that should be virtually impossible. It's like they pick 2 or 3 maps each day, and that's all that show up. What's the point of including new maps in the DLC's, if they never show up in their "special" game modes?

The level advantages certainly don't seem to exist... I get that a 365 weapon does the same damage, regardless of what level player is using it... That's the way it should be. That being said, I was just trying to finish up my melee bounty, and was getting melee killed by 29's and 30's, even when I hit them first. Was also in a game earlier where a 29 put up the most points in the game. I get that there are people that are REALLY good at PVP, but if a person is at a 5 level disadvantage, that should be impossible.

The Suros with oversized rounds is the Thorn antidote. It's still the best auto rifle by far and can match Thorns range. You make take a round, but once you start hitting them with the oversized rounds it's hard for them to aim. Give it a try if you have a Suros.

It's about skill and improving, if you aren't capable of doing that then crucible is not for you....started out really bad but now I do pretty good and enjoy IB....anyone who uses Thorn instead of TLW is probably not very good in crucible....

I tried to explain to someone last night that being lvl 28 was hurting the entire team. His only reply was, 'I have the gun called revelation'. Wtf so much for that...
-
My only gripe is that the Iron Banner doesn't rotate game modes...I'd no-life it for the whole week if it ever became a 3v3 skirmish.

Normally the whole joining games late thing is a huge issue for me. This time around, not so much. I'm getting put on teams that are actually good and carrying me. But I definitely understand your frustration. I'm just getting lucky I think. One match I played on Cauldron I literally could not stop laughing out loud. I sh!t you not, my audio consisted solely of blink, shotgun shots, TLW, and Thorn. In that order. The amount of blinking going on was hysterical. It felt like I was playing Tribes or something...
