This isn't tongue-in-cheek, this isn't sarcastic, and this isn't even meant as a "haha you're stuck in the past" barb at the PS3 and 360 players.
I'm just legit amazed that you guys haven't gotten together and said, "This is not what we were promised when we invested $60 - $100+ in buying this game and the updates that it turned out. We're not going to settle for this treatment and this kind of exclusionary behavior, just because we're less financially-capable of buying a next-gen console."
Don't get me wrong, I 100% understand the hardware limitations that come with the older consoles, and I 100% understand that Destiny has just about reached that limitation on both machines. But it goes way beyond that, with all of the extra-steps they've been taking to proverbially cut the balls off of the last-gen players.
They could've honestly just left it at, "You won't be getting the next big expansion, because it just can't support what we're trying to do with it." But Bungie has seen fit to not only cross the line, but barrel across it and then piss all over it once they're on the other side.
> "You won't be getting exotics from Xur anymore."
> "You won't be playing Trials of Osiris anymore; you won't be getting Trials-Gear anymore."
> "You won't be playing Iron Banner anymore; you won't be getting Iron Banner-Gear anymore."
> "You won't be enjoying the live-events like Festival of the Lost anymore."
> "You won't be getting anymore updates to gear, and so you won't be getting higher light-levels anymore."
And that's just a few things to list off. Bungie has basically told you guys, "The game's over until you decide to upgrade. Now go piss up a rope." All of this is why I'm amazed that these two communities haven't gotten together and said, "No. -blam!- that shit. Class-Action Lawsuit."
Don't get me wrong; I'm on my Next-Gen console, personally. I'm 100% ready for the update and waiting eagerly for September. But as someone who's spent most of my life being stuck in "Last-Gen" situations, as far back as the PS2 era (I didn't get a PS2 of my own until almost 2005), I feel bad for you guys.
To me, this just seems like you're getting a bad cut, no matter how you slice it.

Crypto -PS4-により編集済み: 8/1/2016 12:26:21 PMFrom what I hear from Sony, Destiny may wrap up on PS5. So current Gen users can join the suit too? NO, it sounds ridiculous now doesn't it?

Doesn't it say on the agreement whenever you get a new update that bungie can and may do as they please with the game and there is nothing g you can do about it? Pretty sure that's how I read it

You mean like Halo 2 players should be forming class actions towards Bungie/Microsoft for turning off original Xbox Live a few years back? Every game that has an online component gets switched off eventually - sometimes all at once, sometimes piece by piece. There is zero legal precedent for a class action here...

The 10% of last gen players are probably kids who need their parents okay to buy a new console. Ask them for one for Christmas. Yeah you're a few months behind us, but that's worst case scenario. You don't have a leg to stand on for a lawsuit. Suck it up and buy a new console or STFU.

Here's an explanation of sorts: We all went to a restaurant: Bungie's Steakhouse. We ordered a bowl of soup (Destiny). We ate it and enjoyed it. Then Bungie offered to sell us a salad (Dark Below) and breadsticks (Wolves). We bought it. We liked it. Then they offered to sell us a steak dinner (Taken King). And we bought that. And then, Bungie brought out the dessert cart and started passing us free slices of cake and dishes of ice cream (SRL, Festival, and of course Iron Banner). And we get so used to all these free goodies, we started thinking we were entitled to them, even though we didn't pay for them. However, we're not entitled to anything. Zero percent of the millions of players worldwide are entitled to any of these goodies. But ninety percent of the players will continue to get them, in other words get more than they paid for, provided they purchase an additional meal. The remaining ten percent (including me) will simply get the content we purchased and that's it. Yes, we holdouts will be frozen out, unless we decide to swallow our pride and upgrade (and maybe swallow a lot of Top Ramen and baloney sandwiches because we spent our grocery money on that PS4). BUT, we're not losing stuff we're entitled to, we're just not getting stuff above and beyond what we're entitled to. The free dessert cart will roll right past us. Maybe it feels unfair. Maybe it even is unfair. But Bungie is well within their rights.

The basis of this lawsuit would be....? I don't think you grasp the way the law works. You provided literally 0 references showing fault, negligence, misleading, breach of contract, tampering, failure to provide services, or any other actions which would warrant a lawsuit. Now sit down and shut up.

GrundleBeansにより編集済み: 8/1/2016 6:35:28 PMThis is really just complaining that you got things for free temporarily that you're not entitled to, which you were told could change, but believe they are entitlements because you got used to them. By the logic of this argument, really anyone could sue any company that gives them anything temporarily and win. If you were successful it would make it a much more hostile environment for any game or service to produce anything and forces them to never adapt and never provide anything temporarily out of fear of a small minority of people getting upset. It would set a very bleak precedence for the future of gaming, worse than losing a few features of 1 game.

Woah, wait we aren't getting xur anymore?? Wow...just, wow. Can I still buy three of coins at least?

Why can thet afford current DLC and not a next gen plus trade in? There are people selling ps4 and xbox1 online for 200 with no controllers. If they cannot afford that, then they do not deserve destiny.
