Hey all,
Today we’ve discovered an issue with Quickplay Matchmaking. We are actively investigating the depth of the issue, and currently believe that neither connection nor skill are being factored correctly when forming matches. PvP Design Lead Derek Carroll has more information on our next steps:
With the release of Update 1.2.3, we introduced 6v6 Quickplay with a bug that causes skill-matching and potentially connection-matching to fail in that playlist. This results in much faster – but lower-quality – matches than normal. Our plan for the immediate future is to take no immediate action, monitor the health of the playlist, take notes, and ready a potential fix. We will inform the community with our findings and if we make a change, you will be the first to know (just like this time).
I just wanted to chime in, PvP Quickplay isn't enjoyable right now. I don't feel like skill plays a factor in my victory or loss and there are far, far fewer matches that are fair. Either i'm stomping people or getting stomped, nothing in between and that in and of itself makes it feel like I don't have a hand in how i'm doing some random matchmaking does.

No one cares about pvp!! Destiny doesn’t need it short of a few modes to goof off in. Your pvp has ruined the destiny idea, which I thought was suppose to be a 10 year pve adventure. Please remove pvp and focus on making enjoyable replayable pve which is why most of us play destiny.

No new updates huh? Still just sitting back watching crucible die? Hell you’ve got a seasonal event that everyone was looking forward too that a solid majority seems to be opting out of because of your broken PvP and constant catering to so called elite players. How are those Forsaken pre-orders going? LOL.

i,m an average or below average player , i enjoyed a game or two just to have fun , i ain,t havin fun anymore , theres plenty more games out there where i can get the fun factor back , bungie you broke something that was already broke and made it worse bye bungie hello fortnite

Soooo, what has bungie changed recently? First few days were great and was having heaps of fun. The last few days though have been terrible. Words can't describe the lag that has been in the crucible. Ive never seen it this bad the whole time ive played destiny inc d1.

Sbmm based on win/loss doesn't work that well when you're playing solo anyway. Especially in 6v6. One person doesn't usually contribute that much to the team.
-
No hate but most current maps are awful for 6v6 when playing solo they are simply too small since they were designed for 4v4, however if you're not playing solo and can have that communication it does seem to work well just not for teams who aren't communicating

Matchmaking is back. At least partially. Noticing the telltale forced losses again. Thought i noticed the other day, but just did one game where i cleared a 3. Kad, then won the next game with over a 2., game after that i got thrown into a losing game mid game versus a premade 5. So they've switched that back on.

Dear bungie, matchmaking is a problem, but there is even bigger problem in PVP https://destinytracker.com/d2/profile/pc/Yanqiao6-4804 look at this guy, using bots AFK in PVP for 64 matchs already, and now he is still doing that but not been banned, can you just do something? he is not the only one using bots AFK in PVP for Solstice of Heroes gears, but if you are lazy enough to pay attention for 1 guy,how can you make this game's PVP better?

This current pvp is a ridiculous amount of fun. Also, the fact that CBM is favoured now makes the games a lot smoother, with less bs. I like this. Please keep it like this bungo.

One would think when you force players into crucible, again, that the system would get fixed from a known issue to lessen blowback.

This is all planned. Streamers getting high views again and people beating up on less skilled. Yep THAT side of the argument. Its all on purpose for increased sales. You will NOT convince me otherwise.
