A lil tiny piece in the middle of a swamp. Why couldn’t we explore the innards of the traveler? There’s that massive piece on the horizon with all the lightning and it’s just so tempting!
Not really lore IG but it’d be sick to see what’s inside the traveler.

I honestly think the haunted forest should have been in the dark forest and inside part of the fallen piece of traveler. Why havent gone exploring in there? What was with that trailer showing six guardians running through the dark forest?

That "shard" is corrupted. It's essentially leaking radiation everywhere. The Dark Forest gets weirder and weirder the closer you get to it.

If I was writing the ending for the Destiny series, I would have the guardian go inside the traveler and destroy it. The traveler is not capable of self sacrifice and needs the guardian to end it. With the traveler's death the timeline resets. The cut scene would be of the three astronauts on Mars. Instead of the rain and seeing the traveler, the astronauts report they lost the signal and it's just Mars.

In a very early video of Bungie talking about Destiny 2, they showed a Fireteam going into the forest while hinting about their raids and dungeons being hidden. A lot of us players thought it was going to be a similar raid to The Vault of Glass.

Part of the reason for that is because a large portion of that shard is corrupted, that’s why the taken have swarmed that area. That’s the reason Uldren went to that same shard. Idk tho, I’m not super great at the lore 😅

Lore-wise, the inside of the Traveler: -Very bright (mainly white and light blue) -physics are relative (bending waterfalls and floating rocks) -smells faintly of Vanilla I seriously wish I could drop my source link but I was definitely on Ishtar Collective. I guess it would be really hard to whip up a "corrupted" version of something that already boarders on the outlandish

If you look closely there are clearly metal beams. Almost as if it were a machine..
