Orûnn, Billy, Paltat, and the sixty other Bubbies stood within a chamber, waiting for the Husk queen to show up. The Bubbies had their weapons ready in case they had to fight, but Billy would make sure that didn’t happen. Orûnn and Paltat were arguing with each other over by a large rock. Paltat: Queen Vissan is NOT a fan of invaders! So your little yellow friends better be ready for a fight! Orûnn: I am sure the Queen can be reasoned with! She needs help, and I think that the Bubbies are exactly what we need right now! Their argument came to a halt when one of the Bubbies spotted a figure walking towards them. Bubby soldier: Hey, look over there! Everyone turned to see a tall gray figure with bright blue eyes walking right towards them. The figure had natural protective plating all over its body, and two tails that waved back and forth as it walked. The figure was thin and rigid, but somehow walked with grace.... This had to be the Queen. Queen Vissan walked right up to Billy and looked down at him with an expressionless face. Billy looked up at her, slightly uncomfortable with the awkward staring contest they were having. Queen Vissan: Who are you? Why are you here? Where did you come from? Billy: I am Billy, and I was sent here by my emperor to stop the Krall from doing whatever it is that they are doing. I have come all the way from the Bubby system, which consists of fifty planets, one hundred and fifteen moons, and one st- Queen Vissan: Okay okay you can stop talking now. Orûnn , do you trust these Bubbies? Orûnn was still getting used to the whole suddenly knowing names thing, but he answered the Queen anyways. Orûnn: Yes my queen, I truly believe that they can help us. Queen Vissan: Do you know what the Krall are after, Billy? Billy: Does this thing have a core? Queen Vissan: Yes... It does. Billy: Then I believe that is what they are after. Queen Vissan: Everyone follow me. Quickly! Everyone moved as fast as possible to keep up with the Queen. She led them through dozens of long tunnels and vast chambers. They passed lots of other Husks, who all seemed to be shaken by the Kralls arrival. Billy was happy that the Queen was helping them, because they would’ve been completely lost if they tried to find the core on their own. The Queen came to a sudden stop in front of a gray wall. Everyone stood in silence as she reached her hand out to touch the wall. Once she made contact, the room began to shake, and cracks formed in the wall. Black dust emptied from the Queens hand and spread out across the wall like tree roots. The cracks began to glow orange, and a large orange opening appeared. The Queen had opened a portal that was hidden within the wall, to take them to the core. Queen Vissan: Hurry everyone! The Queen walked through first, and everyone else followed. Once they made it through, they were standing in a massive chamber, which was big enough to fit a small city in it. Billy looked up only to see the core floating in the air. The core was a massive black crystal with a faint orange glow within it. Everyone spent a few seconds taking in their surroundings. Orûnn: I have a question my Queen. Queen Vissan: What is it Orûnn? Orûnn: Why was I sent away from this place? Queen Vissan: I had always thought that we would get caught in some type of conflict, so I created lots of Husks and cast them out so that our species would survive even if our home is destroyed. I knew that they might kill each other to survive, but I had to take that chance. Orûnn: Why is it that we have the ability to just suddenly know things? Like the names of other husks? Queen Vissan: I honestly don’t know. I guess we just wound up knowing things as time passed. Billy: It’s the Krall emperor... I’ve never seen him in person before. Paltat: That’s a weird thing to bri- WHAT?!?!? Everyone turned to Billy and then turned the way he was looking. They saw thirty Krall standing on the other side of the core, which was far away from them. Everyone walked over to a nearby spire jutting up from the ground and hid behind it. Billy peeked out from behind the spire and immediately felt a feeling of uneasiness. A shiver went through his whole body and his eyes opened wide at the sight of the Krall emperor. Billy: It’s actually him! Paltat: Let’s go stop him! We outnumber them! Billy: ....No.....Something is wrong... somebody contact Intelligence. One of the Bubbies pulled out a communication device and pressed a button. The call was immediately answered by an Intelligence agent. The Bubby handed the device over to Billy. Billy: This is Billy with Round Team 1 on the Nest Rock. I need a scan on the Krall system as quick as possible. Intelligence agent: We will have the scan results shortly. Billy was sweating profusely in his suit, and everyone looked at him in silence. A system scan is a massive signal that is sent out so that the Bubbies can see where the Kralls planets are positioned. Intelligence agent: ... We are only getting signals from two of the Krall’s planets and their star. Why only two!? Orûnn: How many planets are there supposed to be? Billy: THIRTY SIX!!! Paltat: Don’t you Bubbies have fifty of them? Why would you need to worry about an enemy with only two planets? Billy: The system scan is supposed to read planets signals from their core... Except there are only two cores to read in their system... Orûnn peeked back out from behind the pillar. The Krall emperor and his soldiers were still in the same spot, looking up at the core. Orûnn: So what you’re saying is that- Billy: The Krall have ripped the core energy out of their OWN PLANETS...... And they’ve given all of it to their emperor.
