As with my previous post, this kind of interaction occurs very often. In this case, I read the radar and anticipated an opponent coming around the corner. I was correct. However, Pocket Singularity locked on and directed itself into a wall. A solid object before it even had line of sight on the target. That is completely terrible performance, and demands a rework or replacement.
The very nature of Pocket Singularity is to be used pre-emptively due to the obscenely long cast animation and weapon handling recovery time. I should have been able to use it in that example and have it hit the target around the corner or as the opponent rounded the corner, but clearly the Pocket Singularity has a problem with locking on prematurely (and in many cases it locks on late, if at all, or pushes opponents into me as in my other post example).
Pocket Singularity in its current state is a pathetic and poorly performing melee ability for voidwalker warlock. It should be reworked, replaced, or have an alternate melee added to the game as this is not only a problem in PVP, but also in PVE.

I do agree that PS is as inconsistent as it comes but here it does appear that you were out of range more than anything

As a hunter main... thats not how you use it. Its a homing melee with the best tracking in the game that pushes an enemy and makes them volitile. Its used as a cleanup or to hit an enemy from behind a wall or to start the fight with a free volitile.

The tracking on the melee will do a lot of the work for you, but it won’t do everything.

Ummmm even me who hardly touches warlock knows that's not how you use it... that melee is strong as hell and stops a lot of apes or even fusion players when use correctly. Plus it's designed to help you to get some distance from a player. It's not designed for you to pretend your wanted hit man curving stuff around corners. In that instance you should have waited when you saw the dude and then push him back not see a blip on radar and shoot it at a wall....

I always used it similar to how you hit a target around a corner with a truth back in the day, fire it aiming away while locked on so it has a longer time to straighten out for the hit. Same thing works very well with this altho a simple extra range devour melee would feel cool too
